Job description

Scope of the role

The Recruitment Manager is responsible for the strategic planning and operational delivery of all the recruitment needs at Generation Success (GS). This will include the delivery of client campaigns and all GS internal recruitment. This role is responsible for recruiting top talent for GS and their clients, designing, reviewing and implementing the recruitment processes and procedures, day to day management of the team, which will include volunteers and paid employees, internal and external stakeholder management and reporting. There will be a level of business development required as the role develops.

Main Accountabilities

  1. Design, improve and review all recruitment processes
  2. Create a GS recruitment department strategy to align with the overall GS 5-year strategy
  3. Recruit top talent and design and implement attraction campaigns
  4. Overall operational oversight
  5. People Management
  6. Stakeholder Management
  7. Business development

Recruitment Processes

  1. Design and improve all of GS recruitment process; this will include client campaigns (which are revenue generating) and internal recruitment processes
  2. Review and amend processes as required
  3. Ensure processes are aligned to GS equal opportunities policies and procedures

Recruitment Strategy

  1. Design a department strategy to align with GS overall company 5-year strategy
  2. Set individual and team objectives to support the delivery of the strategy
  3. Report on overall department progress of the strategy

Recruiting and Attraction​​​​​​

  1. Design attraction campaign in collaboration with GS marketing department
  2. End to End recruitment of top talent for both GS and clients
  3. Ensure all recruitment campaigns are delivered at the highest of standards and in line with agreed deadlines and timelines
  4. Manage the onboarding of new GS recruits in collaboration with HR

Operational Oversight

  1. Implement a quality control system for the recruitment department
  2. Improve the candidate journey by conducting internal and market research ensuring processes are seamless and GS EVP is competitive. Make recommendations where necessary
  3. Design and built a reporting system. Identifying key data that internal and external stakeholders would want to see and be responsible for reporting on these

People Management

  1. Day to day management of the recruitment team
  2. Set and track KPIs and objectives
  3. Carry out necessary performance reviews and one to ones
  4. Adopt a coaching approach to leadership and team development

Stakeholder Management

  1. Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and work in collaboration with departments as required
  2. Manage and develop external stakeholder relationships as required by GS acting as a sector expert and advisor where required
  3. Be a strong GS ambassador at all events

Business Development

  1. As the role develops there may be a requirement to support the generation of revue by approaching new and existing clients and upselling GS recruitment services

Person Specification

Essential

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in early careers recruitment
  • Demonstrable team management experience
  • Knowledge and experience of using recruitment software (GS use Jazz HR)
  • Prior experience of developing recruitment processes either solely or in collaboration with someone else
  • Passionate about diversity and social inclusion
  • Experience or knowledge of business development
  • Demonstrable experience of meeting targets and KPIs
  • Ability to adopt a coaching leadership style

Desirable

  • Experience supporting or driving recruitment marketing campaigns
  • Ability to build attraction campaigns
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • A positive can-do attitude
  • Motivated by success and a self-starter
