Job description

Regional Development Manager – Midlands Part time 21 hours

£27,000 pro rata

GFS runs volunteer led after school groups for girls and young women offering them single-gender spaces. We encourage them to try new things, take more risks, express themselves and develop their confidence. Our groups run throughout England and Wales and we have big plans to grow. Throughout the COVID pandemic, we have continued our work; offering virtual groups and plenty of exciting valuable content for girls. Do you want to join a driven dynamic team who are passionate about their work?

You will support existing GFS groups and lead on opening new ones. Our Midlands groups are: Atherstone, Banners Gate, Bearwood, Market Drayton, Pheasey, Wainfleet, and  Worksop with immediate plans to open in Cradley Heath, and  Smethwick. Next we are looking to open in and around Birmingham city. It will be your responsibility to ensure that groups in your region run to GFS standards. You will be supporting and training our great volunteers who lead the groups.

The role is part time, 21 hours with the potential for an increase to 28 hours. This is an exciting opportunity and the successful candidate will join three Development Managers based in our different regions across England and one in Wales.  You will be home based with requirement to travel to groups and occasional travel will be required to our London office, approximately four times a year. You will also support regional and national meetings in and around England. All work travel will be subject to COVID safe procedures and local restrictions.

All of our groups run after school in early evening. Evening and occasional weekend working will be required with some overnight stays.

This is a rewarding opportunity to join a supportive team and make a real impact on the lives of girls and young women. If this sounds like the role for you, please find further details below.
