At Glass Door, we're passionate about finding people routes out of homelessness. In order to best leverage the resources in the community, we work with thousands of volunteers, hundreds of supporters and many partners. Communicating well with these key stakeholders and with many individuals we support is central to the success of what we do.
As the Communications Officer, you would help ensure that everyone is working together and pushing in the same direction. You will be at the centre of the organisation interacting with front-line and back-office staff to provide communications support across the charity.
Working closely with the Senior Communications Manager, the Communications Officer has a key role to play in planning and delivering communications to key groups, including press, supporters, guests, volunteers and staff. The post holder will write, edit, co-ordinate and publish content across various channels, including the website, social media and printed publications. He or she will also nurture and manage relevant media contacts, assist with policy campaigns and ensure media and advocacy opportuntities are fully maximised.
You will be a confident and friendly self-starter, who takes initiative to get things done. No two days will be the same, we are a dynamic office with all-hands-on-deck approach when required.
