Job description

About the role:

A leading education charity are currently seeking to appoint a Finance Business Partner to join their team. This engaging role involves working collaboratively with three academies across both Central and East London, providing business partnering and accounting support. As well as up to £55k + excellent benefits, the organisation offers fantastic training opportunities and a real chance to prosper!

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing financial reporting, advice and guidance to both senior level stakeholders and budget holders, ensuring reporting forecasts are accurately produced
  • Preparation of budgets and forecasts, balance sheet, control accounts and cash flow management
  • Reviewing Academy Bacs, credit card, cash and pensions reconciliations, and aged debtor and creditor reports
  • Handling internal and external audit processes
  • Working closely with assigned academies, carrying out termly checks on fixed assets and registers, reporting on financial performance, and supporting junior team members

The successful candidate:

  • ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA qualified
  • Solid, proven experience in:
    • Business partnering
    • Technical accounting
    • Supporting senior level stakeholders
    • Working to tight reporting deadlines
    • Using Excel and Accounting Systems
  • Engaging with excellent communication skills and a real ability to build solid rapport
  • A proactive self-starter, able to manage a demanding workload and manage time effectively
