For Europe's largest infrastructure project, based in Birmingham, we're recruiting a Finance Business Partner for the Corporate Services Directorate. Working within central finance, this role reports to the Head of Finance and provides financial support and critical analytical challenge to directorates including HR, IT, Finance, Procurement, Facilities to ensure the organisation achieves financial targets and delivers value for money within the budgets set by the comprehensive spending review.

Main Duties:

• Responsible for looking after a portfolio of directorates (HR, IT, Finance, Procurement, Facilities) and the corporate expenditure in the monthly financial accounts
• Drive consistent month-end reporting and review of all Corporate Directorate (c£200M)
• Lead business planning and forecasting processes, providing guidance on planning principles and expectations

Person Specification:

• CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified with strong experience of supporting annual business planning, budget setting, and forecasting processes
• Strong skills in business partnering non-finance managers including working with Service / Operational Directors, budget holders, Business Managers, HR, and wider Finance teams
• Knowledge of Oracle accounting systems or other similar ERP systems

Role overview

The Finance and Reporting Officer will be responsible for the effective day to day running of the charity’s finance function, by processing transactions accurately, maintaining robust financial records, carrying out month-end activities, and providing financial information to budget holders and senior staff.

Alongside this the role has an important part to play in data management and activity reporting. Working with the Data Officer you’ll assist with the maintenance and interrogation of programme monitoring data, ensuring information is accurate and timely.

You’ll need to be organised and with a great attention to detail. We’re seeking someone who is output orientated, whilst able to ensure the integrity of the information being presented. You’ll also need to be thorough at a transactional level yet able to summarise efficiently to a range of audiences.

Working with a broad range of stakeholders across the team, as well as trustees, auditors and external suppliers, you’ll need clear communication skills including being able to communicate financial information to non-finance colleagues. It’s a busy role and you’ll need to be adept at juggling a variety of responsibilities at the same time.

About the Role

Cord’s turnover is about £2.3M a year. About 85% of Cord’s funding is restricted, coming from institutional donors like the EU and governments, and 15% (about £300K) is unrestricted coming from a committed UK supporter base and other private fundraising streams.

For a large government organisation, we're recruiting an interim Tax Manager to lead delivery of day-to-day tax operations including VAT and tax compliance during a large-scale ERP implementation programme. The interim Tax Manager will focus on maintaining high-quality business-as-usual tax delivery, while working closely with the ERP programme teams to share knowledge, provide input on system-wide tax processes, and support readiness.

The Role

Leading a team of 4, the Head of Group FP&A sits at the heart of Group and Global Finance, and leads Group MI, Reporting, Planning and Forecasting across the organisation. The role oversees cash and balance sheet forecasting for the Group and Subsidiaries and ensures insightful reporting to external stakeholders. Liaising with the Shared Service Centre, Centres of Excellence, and Regional finance teams, this role will shape and embed the implementation of new planning and reporting tools and will work with the business to create best-in-class FP&A processes during a time of substantial change and transformation. The Head of Group FP&A will shape and embed a unified finance culture and service model and will deliver a new planning tool (Anaplan) as part of the Finance Transformation Programme across the UK, International Regions and Global Strategic Business Units, partnering with Regional FD's and Business Directors.

Main Duties:

• Provide first-class Group FP&A and MI reporting service globally and regionally, for all strategic business units
• Ensure all Group FP&A processes meet the organisation's strategy, objectives and TOM
• Drive continuous improvement using technology to achieve best practice in Group FP&A
• Provide high-quality, insightful MI for the Group, making improvements as needed
• Develop and improve balance sheet and cash forecasting for the Group to meet external stakeholder requirements and develop Group forecasting of income and expenditure and cash for all subsidiaries
• Support Treasury in the forecasting of trapped and restricted cash forecasts
• Support leadership in coordinating and delivering Long Term Finance Planning, 5yr financial plans (3-statements)
• Develop strong relationships with stakeholders in the UK and globally including the SSC, Centres of Excellence and MSP
• Drive the development of a more effective financial planning and forecasting process and lead the implementation of Anaplan, working with the business to increase the effectiveness of the FP&A process in the UK and globally
• Drive a step change in cash and balance sheet forecasting at Group and Entity level
• Drive the implementation of Global FP&A processes and Reporting Tools

Person Specification:

• CCAB Qualified with proven experience delivering and managing in similar FP&A roles
• Strong commercial experience gained in a complex global matrix-managed organisation
• Experience leading teams in organisations undergoing change and driving for growth
• Experience with the appraisal of investment projects
• Experience with implementing new and enhanced financial reporting and MI tools
• Shared Services (SSC) experience
• Development and optimisation of SAP accounting and planning applications i.e., Anaplan

The Operations Manager plays a key leadership role in ensuring the effective day-to-day running of the charity. Working closely with the Business Development Manager and Board of Trustees, the postholder will oversee operations, finance, governance, and organisational systems to ensure the charity delivers high-quality services in line with its mission and strategic objectives.

The Woodland Trust is looking for two Funded Project Managers to lead the successful delivery and completion of our funded projects.

The Role:
•    Provide leadership to Project Officers, ensuring all funded projects are delivered and completed to a high standard.
•    Manage the Funded Projects team to maintain consistent, robust project standards across all activity.
•    Support the development of strong funding bids, realistic budgets and informed organisational decision-making.
•    Maximise grant opportunities, identify risks early and safeguard the Trust’s financial and reputational interests.
•    Maintain excellent relationships and effective negotiations with funders, regulators and contributors.
•    Champion continuous improvement in reporting processes across the Trust and for external funders.
•    Monitor resources, highlight risks and ensure compliance with statutory obligations, VAT, procurement rules and best-practice project management.

•    This is a hybrid position with a mix of home working, and from our head office in Grantham, Lincolnshire. Head office attendance would be required no more than once a month on average. Occasional travel to other offices and remote locations may also be required.
•    These roles are to be offered on a 12-month fixed term contract.

The Candidate:
•    Brings proven experience in supporting, mentoring and developing individuals and teams.
•    Skilled at building strong, productive relationships across internal teams and external partners.
•    Able to navigate complex financial challenges, including funder restrictions and avoidance of double funding.
•    Capable of interpreting, challenging and explaining financial principles to non-experts with clarity and influence.
•    Understands the financial implications of projects and how they flow through organisational accounts.
•    Makes sound decisions based on budgets, policies, funder guidelines and project management frameworks.
•    Brings knowledge of conservation and/or relevant finance or project management qualifications (desirable).

About You and The Role

The Communities, Practice & Participation Coordinator supports the administration, delivery, and evaluation of Modern Art Oxford’s community-facing participation and exhibition programme, involving a wide range of groups.

Working as part of the Communities, Practice & Participation team at the gallery, you will be a key support in the coordination of our participatory programme and live events, the installation of displays in Modern Art Oxford’s Ground Floor gallery and Studio, and assisting the delivery of workshops, as required. The Coordinator is also responsible for the administration and archiving of Modern Art Oxford’s community-facing participation programme.

This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented approach, to ensure appropriate and ongoing communication across departments to realise projects successfully, within budget, and to the highest standard. You will be trusted to use your initiative in problem-solving and encouraged to contribute ideas. This job is an integral role in the team, aimed at an early-career arts professional.

The Coordinator, Communities, Practice & Participation is line-managed by the Curator, Communities, Practice & Participation and supports the Head of Communities, Practice & Participation and other CPP colleagues.

Primary Objectives

• To support the Curator of Communities, Practice & Participation in the planning and delivery of temporary exhibitions sharing our participatory projects across our Ground Floor, including our Ground Floor Gallery and Studio.
• To support the CPP team in collating, administrating and disseminating all information required for the timely and accurate delivery of all aspects of the CPP programme with early years, young people, and adult communities.
• To assist in the delivery and administration of the workshop programme as requested by the Curator of Communities, Practice & Participation.

Ground Floor Gallery

• To support the planning and delivery of the Communities, Practice, and Participation exhibitions Programme

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an enthusiasm for contemporary art and a willingness to gain a broad range of curatorial skills and experiences. They will have strong administration skills, with demonstrable experience, a proactive mindset and the ability to be flexible. They will have a keen attention to detail and an ability to prioritise and deliver multiple strands of work to deadlines. Good planning and communication skills are essential in this busy, demanding and exciting environment. They will be comfortable working as part of a team, and sharing responsibilities and tasks where necessary.
