Job description
Do you want to work in a fast-paced, ambitious team delivering some of the UK’s biggest challenge events and GOSH Charity’s flagship owned event RBC Race for the Kids? Then we want to hear from you.

This role manages a portfolio of exciting events including delivering effective marketing plans, engaging stewardship journeys and delivering accurate reporting of event KPIs. This is a varied and interesting new role which will be working across both the Challenge Events team on a variety of third-party events, and the Owned Events & Products team supporting on our flagship event RBC Race for the Kids.

This post works with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure a fantastic supporter experience from sign up through to event day for RBC Race for the Kids and Challenge Events.

About the Team

The Challenge Event Team is a team of six who manage a range of third-party mass participation events such as the TCS London Marathon, The Royal Parks Half Marathon and The London Triathlon, to name a few. The team raise up to £3million a year, with an ambitious and exciting growth strategy.

The Owned Events & Products team is a team of five who manage the charities owned mass events, including our flagship event RBC Race for the Kids, gaming, Walkie Talkie Tower Climb, as well as new product development.

These are two of the three teams that that form the Mass Participation Team, which also incorporates the Virtual Events team, and is a crucial part of the Public Fundraising department. Collectively the three teams have ambitions to raise £9m per year.

About You

You will be highly organised and an effective communicator, able to juggle multiple projects and with proven experience of managing challenge or mass fundraising events and meeting income and recruitment targets.

The ideal candidate will also have:

- A desire and ability to work flexibly across two teams and juggle priorities.
- Good understanding of the challenge event and mass event market.
- Strong relationship management skills and confident working with partners, suppliers, internal stakeholders and fundraisers.
- Strong understanding of effective marketing and stewardship practises to deliver high average gifts from fundraisers.
- A real passion for working in public fundraising and delivering engaging and inspiring supporter experiences

Our approach to hybrid working

This role is based in our Central London office (WC1N, opposite Russell Square underground) with the option to work remotely up to three days a week.
