Here at Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity we’re recruiting a Senior Philanthropy Manager to cover a year’s maternity leave. This senior fundraising post will be central to driving the team’s fundraising activity, in particular the ongoing £25million appeal to create the UK’s first Sight and Sound Centre.
We are looking for an experienced major gift fundraiser who is a great relationship builder and who can hit the ground running. The right candidate will work with stakeholders from across the charity and hospital and senior volunteer leadership to help secure major donations and long-term philanthropic support.
About the Team:
The Philanthropy team raises funds from high net-worth individuals and charitable foundations including a significant number of £1 million+ donations. We are a team of 14 including a proactive prospect research function. With a proven track record of engaging donors and establishing effective long-term relationships, the team manages a substantial high value programme.
You will need to be an experienced and creative major gift fundraiser with excellent relationship building and communication skills. You will have strong strategic and leadership abilities and experience of shaping and leading fundraising initiatives effectively in partnership with key stakeholders. You will be a positive team player with a professional, solution focused approach.
