Financial Accountant (6 month FTC)

Are you an experienced financial accountant? Do you want to use your skills to contribute towards a high performing finance team in an incredibly rewarding Charity role? Then this is the job for you!

This is a six-month fixed term contract role which is critical for the delivery of the financial statutory requirements of GOSH Charity. It’s an exciting time for the Charity and this role will be pivotal within the Finance team to deliver on all financial accounting aspects.

About the Team

This role sits within the Financial Accounting & Processing team, which is part of the Finance team within the Finance & Resources Directorate. The team is focussed on all transactional processing, as well as statutory and taxation reporting.

About You

You will be a fully qualified accountant (CCAB/CIMA) with significant experience in financial accounting. You will be willing to work collaboratively across the team and wider Charity, being pro-active in your approach and have a desire to continually seek improvements to Charity accounting.

The ideal candidate will also have:

- Significant experience of preparing statutory accounts
- A strong controls ethos
- Experience of producing HMRC returns (eg VAT, Corporation Tax)
- Solid understanding of VAT treatment
- Excellent numerical and MS Excel skills
