We are looking for a People Coordinator to join the National Theatre People Operations Team (FTC - 12 Months)
The purpose of the role
The People Team provide advice, guidance and support to all National Theatre staff, line managers and senior leaders on people policies; terms and conditions of employment; recruitment and selection; performance management; staff engagement; diversity and inclusion; trade union and employee relations; discipline, grievance, and capability processes; and training and career development. We pride ourselves on providing a customer-focused, flexible, and agile service and aim to support and facilitate an open and inclusive culture where all staff can thrive.
This role is an excellent entry level role to the work of a human resources function. Working in close collaboration with colleagues to provide a full administrative support to the People Team, assisting the team in delivering a positive, proactive, and outward-facing operational HR to the National Theatre.
The primary focus of this role is the full employee lifecycle and payroll administration, recruitment administration and managing first-line HR queries in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Excellent attention to detail and able to prioritise conflicting demands.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
- Experience of working effectively under pressure and managing multiple priorities, with good time management skills and with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience of proactively identifying where practices can be improved and proposing solutions to manage them.
- Experience of using a system to support tasks and working within defined processes.
- Experience of writing and communicating in a clear way to ensure the provision of an excellent service to the People team and the wider National Theatre.

Theatres Trust, the national advisory body for theatres, is looking for an Administrator. This is a full-time, fixed-term 12- month contract beginning in June 2024, with the opportunity to potentially extend. You will provide excellent communication and organisational skills across a number of teams: advisory, fundraising, operations, and event coordination.
The position will be line-managed by the General Manager. You will provide general administration and event coordination support across all areas of the organisation. In addition, you will work with the Development Director to monitor and administer Theatres Trust’s memberships and fundraising research, and with the Advisers, to provide administrative support for planning consultations, policy responses, and the grants programme.
You will have excellent communication and organisation skills, have an outgoing, resilient, conscientious approach to your work, and possess proficient IT skills.
You will be joining at an exciting time as we deliver Theatres Fit for the Future, our new 3-year strategy. The role offers an opportunity to play a key role in supporting the staff team and trustees within the organisation to deliver on our objectives and make a difference to the UK’s theatres.

The Role
As a Casual Learning Officer, you will support the delivery of our outdoor learning programmes.
Working alongside our inspiring Learning Team, you’ll plan and deliver school sessions and other activities to visitors of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, providing inclusive, fun and high-quality experiences across nature, heritage and wellbeing. You’ll have the opportunity to build varied experience in a range of informal settings, such as drop-in events, festivals and out in the parks’ beautiful habitats.
You may also be offered opportunities to undertake a range of administrative and customer support duties, including responding to enquiries from the public, uploading event information online and processing booking transfer and cancellation requests.
About You
To be considered as a Casual Learning Officer, you will need:
- Proven experience delivering outdoor environmental education to school groups
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver sessions with energy and enthusiasm to diverse audiences
- In depth knowledge of ecology, natural heritage and outdoor learning
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills

Our client is an internationally recognised heritage not-for-profit organisation that are looking for a management accountant to join their team with a focus on supporting month end processes and improving stakeholder relations. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Support the month end process, taking responsibility for key processes and analysis. Work closely with budget holders and analysing variances to budget.
- Prepare centralised month end reporting (e.g. Headcount monitoring, Commitment reporting) to provide relevant information to the team, with responsibility for ensuring analysis is clear and well understood.
- Assist with the budgeting and reforecasting process, working with budget holders to develop departmental plans and develop budgets.
- Provide more detailed analysis of historic and expected spending trends to support decision making for senior stakeholders on an ad-hoc basis.
- Support the preparation of Business cases, providing financial modelling and analysis.
- Support the Finance Business Partner Manager and Senior Management accountants in the production of key month end reports, suggesting and implementing changes to the reporting process to simplify month end.
