Galop - Treasurer
Galop is seeking a new Treasurer to oversee the charity's finances and risk management by working closely with the previous Treasurer (who will remain on the Board) along with the Financial Controller.

· Financial & Risk management oversight
- Maintain an overview of the charity’s financial affairs.
- Offer guidance to the Board of Trustees and the CEO on all financial matters.
- Ensure the charity’s statutory financial viability.
· Financial reporting and analysis
- Oversee, approve, and present annual budgets, financial statements, and quarterly management accounts.
- Scrutinise related party transactions (e.g. CEO expenses, Credit card activity)
- Present annual accounts to the Board at the AGM
· Financial planning and compliance

Chair of HR Sub-Committee
Galop is seeking a new Trustee to take on the role of Chair of the HR Sub-Committee. They will work to provide strategic HR leadership in ensuring alignment with the charity's long-term vision and goals as well as leading the HR Sub-Committee in fulfilling its responsibilities.

Civitas Recruitment are delighted to be working with a fantastic charity that works in lower- and middle-income countries to implement waste management and recycling programmes that reduce climate emissions, creating livelihood opportunities for vulnerable communities. An exciting opportunity exists for a Head of Communications to join the team. As Head of Communications, you will lead the charity’s internal and external communications. From strategy development through to execution, you will be interacting with a wide range of audiences and stakeholders from policymakers to press and media. This is a part time (1.5 days a week), permanent role, home based within the UK with limited travel for meetings in the UK.
Who are we looking for?
Ideal candidates will have experience of managing complex communications projects involving multiple stakeholders and achieving measurable results. You will be able to both develop and execute a marketing and communications strategy which has buy-in from stakeholders and have experience of developing project timelines and delivering against key milestone.
You will be able to demonstrate strategic understanding of the charity’s needs, inspire team members, and possess the gravitas to influence stakeholders to support your vision. You will be skilled at developing high quality and engaging communications across a variety of media, including web and social channels. Knowledge of SEO and web metrics would be a bonus however this is not essential for the role. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable managing a communications budget and working with external agencies to support in the delivering of successful outcomes, whilst also being excited by the prospect of being hands-on and making a direct impact.

Role Overview: As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the organization. You'll be the backbone of our administrative processes, supporting various teams and contributing to there overall success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Office Management: Maintain a well-organized office environment, including managing supplies, equipment, and facilities.
- Communication: Handle incoming calls, emails, and inquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Data Entry and Record Keeping: Accurately input data, maintain databases, and organize files.
- Scheduling and Coordination: Assist with scheduling meetings, events, and appointments.
- Support to Senior Leadership: Provide administrative support to senior executives, including calendar management and travel arrangements.
- Event Coordination: Assist in organizing workshops, conferences, and community events.
- General Administrative Tasks: Handle photocopying, filing, and other day-to-day administrative duties.
Administrative experience alongside a good understanding of microsoft packages is essential. Charity/Not-For-Profit experience is desirable.
