The Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced HR Adviser with a strong focus on policy development for a fixed-term period to update and develop B Lab UK’s policies to align with our values and culture, guide our employees and ensure a harmonious and productive work environment. What you will be doing
Policy Review and Improvement:

We’re looking for a motivated Grants and Administration Officer. We are happy to consider someone who is newer to grant-making but with deep experience of the charitable sector. We will be looking for someone with aptitude for the duties below who will be able to work independently following training where needed. Alternatively, we would be open to a candidate with experience of grant management who can hit the ground running. The salary offered will be commensurate with experience.
The role is split between grants assessment and management and providing administrative support to the team. A more detailed outline of the duties can be found below. Duties
Grants assessment and management:
• Process grant applications. This includes:
o Visiting, meeting and corresponding with applicants.

• Monitor progress on grants awarded.

About the role
Alongside the Service Manager, you are responsible and accountable for monitoring, maintaining and providing the highest standards of clinical and personal support and service delivery, while promoting independence and choice to the people supported in the service. The Assistant Archivist will join the Paul Mellon Centre (PMC) at a time of consolidation: formally established just over ten years ago with much of the essential groundwork laid, the archive is now a thriving repository with offers, acquisitions and reader engagement growing at a rapid pace. This position is situated within a small team of five information professionals who work closely together to embed professional best practice and deliver a high standard of service to internal and external audiences.
Who We Need
We are looking for someone who will support the Archivist, Records and Data Protection Manager to successfully manage the demands of a busy and growing repository.
You will assist with the everyday work of a small specialist archive including, in particular, reducing the cataloguing backlog and helping ensure that all archive collections held at PMC have been appraised, catalogued and are accessible to interested audiences. You will help assess offers and liaise with donors regarding the acquisition of new material. You will assist with the promotion of the archive collections, supporting the Centre’s commitment to audience reach and fulfilment. You will have specific responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Public Study Room and copying service. You will work to embed best practice across all areas with a view to securing Archive Accreditation.
This role would suit an experienced professional who embraces all aspects of core archival work, thrives on juggling competing demands but also relishes seeing projects through to completion. Who We Are
The PMC is an educational charity that champions new ways of understanding British art history and culture. We publish, teach and carry out research, both in London at the Centre and through our online platforms. Our archives, library and lively events programme are open to researchers, students and the public. The Centre’s grants and fellowships enable institutions and individuals to pursue exhibitions, publications, events and scholarly projects. Through all areas of our work, we promote activities that enhance and expand knowledge about British art. The PMC holds and provides access to over forty archive collections relating to the study of British art and architectural history. About the Role
Salary will be in the range of £35,000 to £40,000 per annum depending on experience.

About the team
Our Finance Department works as a team of experts to safeguard resources and support decision making across Shelter. We strive to ensure Shelter is financially sustainable in order to achieve our vision of a home for everyone. This particular role sits within the Financial Planning and Analysis team. We support the charity through financial reporting, analysis, and expert advice, and enable collaboration to support managers in making effective business decisions.
About the role
Joining a finance team that collaborates and communicates effectively to help us deliver our mission and vision, making vital business decisions that are driven by expert knowledge and financial acumen will be key to your success here. As part of the role, you’ll engage regularly with our Assistant Directors and their leadership teams to ensure that financial results and key messages are shared and you’ll support stakeholders in engaging with fully available financial insight and reporting. When it comes to our stakeholders, you’ll support and lead finance education and training to equip them with the skills required to execute their own financial responsibilities.
Among your many challenges will be the need to align financial plans to operational and strategic plans and make sure they’re clearly understood by Business Units. Seeing that each Unit is provided with a channel of effective, two-way communication with Finance will be important too. You’ll also work with colleagues in Project Governance and HR Business Partnering to support Directorate planning and business cases, as well as supporting and leading on the delivery of cross-team projects.

About you

You’ll also need excellent organisational and time management skills, including the ability to work to deadlines and reprioritise tasks when necessary.
Excellent analytical skills, impeccable attention to detail, a high level of numeracy and intermediate Excel skills are all ‘must haves’ too, as is proficiency in the main Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Word. Additionally, it would be an advantage if you have experience working in a Charity and have associated experience of managing restricted funds and fundraising.

About the role
The Legal Clinic Administrator will work under the Legal Clinic Manager and be expected to provide administrative support in a varied and demanding environment.
A key function will be the day-to-day administration and promotion of the Legal Clinic. This will include working with students to deal with initial client enquiries in a range of clinics, booking appointments, supporting students in the organisation of client interviews and management of case files, managing the administration of the office in accordance with the Clinic’s policies and procedures and liaising with members of the public, the legal profession and voluntary organisations.
The role holder must have excellent organisational, IT, and communication skills and an ability to relate to and work with a diverse range of students, partner organisations and clients.
The position is likely to be of particular interest to either:
an experienced legal administrator/legal secretary with an interest in access to justice and higher education; or

What the job involves
At Prostate Cancer UK we are looking for an experienced, dynamic and innovative patient information professional to join our Health Information team. We produce award-winning health information that ensures people with or who are worried about prostate cancer have access to clear, evidence-based, high-quality and impartial resources that can support them throughout their prostate cancer journey.
The team puts the needs of our service users at the heart of its work and it’s more important than ever that we can understand and respond flexibly. We’re also striving for even greater inclusivity and accessibility so that our service meets the needs of the diverse populations we serve.
The charity currently carries the Patient Information Forum’s (PIF) Tick, which commits us to producing all our health information to its standards of quality. We rely on insight from men with lived experience of prostate cancer and healthcare professional expertise to produce high quality information. We also work closely with our clinical nurse specialists and clinical data teams to ensure our information is based on the latest evidence and clinical practices.
As a Health Information officer, you’ll develop new and review existing health information that empowers men to make informed choices about the healthcare they receive. You’ll be part of a team that supports men on every step of the prostate cancer journey; from raising the awareness of men at high risk, to guiding them through the diagnostic pathway and helping them decide on treatment options that are right for them.
You’ll be critical to maintaining the smooth running of production processes across print and digital formats to a dedicated three-year cycle. You’ll also contribute to the ongoing evaluation of our health information resources and service, making sure they’re efficiently and effectively meeting the needs of those affected by prostate cancer.

You’ll know how to critically appraise and communicate complex information to lay audiences in writing and be very familiar with writing digital health information. You’ll understand ways of engaging with service users and healthcare professionals to shape our health information and strive to ensure that you’re inclusive of the diverse prostate cancer population we serve.
With experience in working to tight deadlines, you’ll be able to work with flexibility and partnering with the team to work collaboratively. You’ll be able to demonstrate empathy, working with those who are affected by prostate cancer and understanding and addressing the difficulties they present or experience.
