Job description

We require a good team player who is positive, proactive and on task to work as an Archiving and Removals Operative on a busy Property Services Team based at the Head Office in Stockport.

In order to fulfil this varied job role you will hold a full driving license and be proficient in manual handling as the nature of the work at times requires quite physically demanding tasks to be carried out.

Good communication skills are also essential to the Archiving and Removals Operative role as you will often be providing instruction and assistance to the staff of residential sites and offices in dealing with new and historic archiving efficiently.

You will be able to resolve minor logistical problems by demonstrating good attention to detail and plan your time effectively and appoint collections and deliveries of stock as required along with other duties; on occasion to cover existing staff which may include cleaning, gardening or assembling furniture.

You will have a good standard of written English with the ability to identify and sort archived documentation and data and be computer literate with competencies in Office applications (Word, Excel and Access) as the work will involve managing email requests and updating and organising xl archive log sheets.

The position will involve travel to national sites and occasional early starts and late finishes. You will be expected to attend training to keep up to date with the company requirements and undertake regular supervision meetings with your line manager. Experience in a previous archiving role is desirable but not essential.
