Established in 2002, Greenhouse Sports charity is leading the fight for a future where London’s young people are supported and empowered, whatever their challenges, through sport. We coach and mentor young people from deprived backgrounds because the crisis for children living in deprivation is real and it is urgent. Children from the poorest families are 3 times more likely to not participate in any extra-curricular activities compared to those from wealthier families, and they lack many opportunities that are available to their wealthier peers. They are more likely to leave school with no qualifications, be excluded from school get involved in crime and gang violence and suffer from mental health issues.
Greenhouse are here to make sure they get the best possible chance to do well in life and have the resilience to overcome life’s difficulties. We run extracurricular breakfast, lunch and after-school clubs at mainstream and special educational needs schools across London. Young people who have the opportunity to play sport regularly and be mentored by coaches who are role-models, become adults who have confidence, resilience and leadership potential.

The fundraising landscape has changed considerably over the last couple of years, and this is an exciting time to join our established, high-performing team as we seek to reach new audiences and innovate digitally. Working within the Partnerships team (corporates, trusts, major donors) to achieve annual income targets, you will be the first point of contact for all community and supporter led fundraising.
You’ll be joining as Greenhouse Sports emerges from a successful couple of years of fundraising which is enabling us to prepare for growth of our services at a time when young people need our support more than ever. This is a great role for someone who wants to develop their fundraising knowledge and skills across a variety of income streams and be part of a team making the impossible possible.
The successful candidate will have the following:
- A keen understanding and belief in the Greenhouse Sports mission
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- The ability to work under own initiative, managing your workload and working collaboratively with the wider Fundraising Team and internal staff
- Experience of managing the back end of all supporter fundraising platforms (Just Giving, Virgin Money, GS website).
- Excellent IT skills
- Experience working with website content management systems, social media, analytics
