Temporary, Full-time
Job description

Fixed term contract to 31st December 2020

Based in London

£39,492 - £45,900 per annum / Full-Time

The Role

The Greenspeaker programme focuses on quality conversations that aim to really connect and inspire people to act. The focus is on relating to the audience as individual agents for change in their community - and that’s what sets Greenpeace Speakers aside from typical school or community talk-givers.

This year, Greenpeace will grow this programme to include over 100 volunteers, all trained and supported to deliver engagement all over the country. We will develop resources to support school and universities, youth, business and community groups which inspire action at a community level. The team will work to inspire action and support individuals and groups to develop their skills, knowledge and passion for overcoming environmental issues at a community level, with an onus on reaching out to marginalised communities.

Requirements

We’re looking for someone with significant experience of coordinating, inspiring and supporting volunteers. You will be an extremely effective communicator, with experience of delivering events and training, with excellent inter-personal skills, a preference for team working and be able to maintain strong, trusting relationships. You will have a good knowledge of campaign strategy and tactics and a desire to affect change.

We are looking for someone who can start the role by 1st July 2020 or shortly after.

What we offer

We can offer you a friendly, fast-paced, immensely rewarding working environment where creativity is encouraged and ideas are supported.

You will have the opportunity to develop both personally and professionally, as you are able to take advantage of the wide range of learning and development opportunities available to our staff.

We offer great benefits such as a generous pension scheme, subsidised lunches, free yoga, a wealth of well-being resources just to name a few. Take a look at our Work for Greenpeace pages to find out more about what it’s like to work for us and why you should apply!
