Job description

Greenpeace is an international non-profit global campaigning organisation. Our independence and global reach enables us to stand for positive change through action in order to defend nature and promote peace. We investigate and expose global environmental problems, confront those in positions of power and present alternative solutions.

The Local Group Network is made up of more than 3500 volunteers, actively involved in more than 60 campaign hubs, found across the UK. The Local Groups deliver campaigning activities as well as lively outreach programme; primarily through public communication and engagement activities, political and corporate lobbying, fundraising, organising and attending public events and participating in protests.

This role consists of two main aspects: firstly, developing and support our Local Groups in your assigned regions; secondly, helping to support the delivery of campaign development, harnessing the power of the volunteer network to win campaigns.

We’re looking for someone with significant experience of coordinating, inspiring and supporting volunteers to win campaigns. You will be an extremely effective communicator, with experience of delivering events and training, with excellent inter-personal skills, a preference for team working and be able to maintain strong, trusting relationships. You will have a good knowledge of digital campaigning, a deep interest in our work and a desire to affect change.
