Groundswell are looking for a passionate people person to lead our newly formed Creating Change team. Our exciting projects are on the cutting edge of participation and best practice. With our expansive networks, partnerships, and collaboration we create change led by people who have experience of homelessness. Examples of our work include our national #HealthNow campaign, Inspiring Change Manchester, Fulfilling Lives, and COVID-19 monitoring project. We have developed innovative ways to reach participants, collect information and communicate what we find to create change. Our growing learning and development work delivers peer-led training across the country – giving volunteers with lived experience the opportunity to progress and raising awareness to ‘professionals’ of the issues people face when they are homeless so we can change the system for the better.
This role is a fantastic opportunity to build on the momentum our team has already created and to expand the impact of Groundswell’s research, policy and campaigns across the country. As Creating Change Director, you will be leading a team committed to tackling homelessness and working towards system change at a local and national level. You will play a key role in managing and developing relationships with a range of stakeholders to create meaningful change. You will manage a diverse team across the country, many of whom have personal experience of homelessness. We have many skills and talents as a team - writers, researchers, trainers, coordinators, advocates, and podcasters.
We care deeply about inequality and participation and approach our work with fun, energy, and creativity. We are looking for someone to lead the team and work collaboratively with us and volunteers with experience of homelessness.
