Senior Sustainable Business Consultant

Salary: £28,536 - £32,746 pro rata per annum depending on experience

Location: Working across the East of England – home and office based at any Groundwork East offices

Hours: Full time (37 hours per week) or Part time (minimum 22.5 hours per week)

Contract: 2-year fixed term contract (with potential for extension)

Groundwork East has over 30 years of experience in delivering bespoke projects that use the environment as a catalyst for building a more sustainable future.  Our business service offering is developing and growing and as a result we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic individual able to evidence their history of working with businesses, local authorities and groups to identify their carbon footprint, energy and resource use to join our team.  Also, key will be experience of delivering high-level support to help organisations develop big picture sustainability strategies, action plans and support delivery.

The role will provide a range of project work from delivering on-site and distant environmental and energy efficiency support, working with emission calculator tools, understanding business costs (both environmental and financial) and identifying opportunities for improvement, to carbon foot-printing and the development of sustainability and carbon management strategies.

The successful candidate will show a commitment to sustainability which may be evidenced by formal education, qualifications, relevant experience or membership of a relevant professional body. We would also like to see a proven track record in undertaking carbon footprinting work. The role requires a valid driving licence, access to a vehicle with a willingness to travel, excellent communication, organisational and diplomacy skills.
