We are looking for an experienced manager, with a background in community health and development, who has strong programme management and partnership working skills, to help build upon our strong track record and expand our service provision to those most in need in Yorkshire.
Groundwork is a leading regeneration charity, working through partnership to create communities in which people are proud to live and work.
We’re passionate about creating a future where every neighbourhood is vibrant and green, every community is strong and able to shape its own destiny and no-one is held back by their background or circumstances. We help people gain confidence and skills, get into training and work, protect and improve green spaces, lead more active lives and overcome significant challenges such as poverty isolation, low skills and poor health.
You will be leading a programme currently valued at over £600,000, with 26 individual live projects, ranging from supporting communities to access national funding, to managing three Land Trust sites, and delivering grass-roots community events and activities, so you must have experience of managing programmes of a similar scale and level of complexity.
We're looking for someone who's really good with people. You will be line managing around 15 colleagues, all from a range of specialisms and backgrounds, so you will need to have experience of managing a staff team. You will also put your people skills to effective use by working with an eclectic mix of community stakeholders, including the public, voluntary and private sectors.
This is a dynamic role, and, in addition to your programme and staff management experience, you will need to have a track record of programme development. You will be a confident bid-writer who is able to secure funding and develop new projects.
