Community & Information Signposting Coordinator
Salary: £20,000 - £22,000 pro rata depending on skills and experience
Gloucestershire: Gloucester or Stroud
Hertfordshire: Ware or Watford
Hours: 28 hours per week
Guideposts Here For You service is a community signposting & referral service, that is a pilot project part funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.
The Guideposts Here For You service provides specialist information and support. The Community and Information Signposting Co-ordinator will work closely with the local Guideposts services in each county and signpost people to other regional and national services to provide a range of support for those affected by Long Term Conditions, including individuals, carers/supporters and professionals.
You will help to promote the Information service and by attending meetings and events to develop the service. You will also participate in the development of initiatives within the area.
The team of Community & Information Signposting (CIS) Coordinators will be responsible for the development and maintenance of Information Hubs, which include telephone, email, web-based and face to face support, providing accurate, comprehensive and up to date local and national information for those living with a range of Long Term Conditions, including their carers/supporters.
Keeping up to date with legislation and best practice to signpost people who access our services to appropriate resources and services. Ensuring agreed information and action is recorded accurately to enable an ‘Information Prescription’ for helpline callers.
We are looking for someone who has experience of web based research and is able to interpret and present information
A DBS check is required for this post. A full driving licence and use of a vehicle is essential as travel across the county will be required
