Gunnersbury CIC is a not for profit social enterprise company, established in 2018 to manage the grade II* listed Gunnersbury Park and Museum to provide community benefit to over 600,000 residents across the west London boroughs of Ealing and Hounslow.
Having battled through the disruption of the Covid-19 pandemic, Gunnersbury is about to embark on an ambitious programme to reinvent and relaunch our varied portfolio of services and restore the health of our finances.
Responding to the challenges of two lockdowns and the loss of over 40% of our annual income during the past year, we have already taken steps to successfully enhance our grant application activities, launched our first community fundraising appeal (#fortheloveofGunnersbury) and rapidly developed our fundraising capacity. As a social enterprise we have also responded flexibly to the challenges posed to our established commercial income generation activity, embracing a range of diverse, micro business opportunities, providing pitches for small scale catering operators and hosting regular, fortnightly markets within the historic grounds of Gunnersbury Park.
We are now seeking to recruit an experienced, creative and entrepreneurial fundraising and business development professional.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering large scale and sustained success in securing grant funding, growing individual and corporate donations and sponsorship and winning public sector commissioning contracts. You will display an entrepreneurial flair and demonstrate the ability to work in partnership with colleagues, partners and the business community to leverage commercial income opportunities to maximise the generation of income from a diverse range of sources to underpin the delivery of Gunnersbury CIC’s mission.
Based at the historic grade II* Gunnersbury Park House located in 72 hectares of listed, landscaped park, within easy access of major public transport routes we offer an exceptional working environment. You will benefit from staff discount at the on-site Gunnersbury sports hub and café facilities and the opportunity to join a young multi-disciplinary team of heritage professionals, teaching and education staff, horticulture, community and events specialists.
If you are keen to use your proven business development and fundraising expertise to support efforts to restore, conserve and promote access to an exceptional array of heritage assets for the benefit of all our communities we would like to hear from you.
