Sitting within the Fundraising and Communication team, the Projects and Grants Officer will work closely across the Senior Management Team to secure and grow grant-funding for nature’s recovery in Gwent. Depending on the skills and experience of the successful candidate, this might involve input at all stages in the project lifecycle: from development to identifying and applying to sources of funding; to reporting.

We are looking for an intelligent, highly organised and analytical person with a passion for nature to help translate wildlife conservation and nature-based solution project ideas and opportunities into funded work on the ground. To be successful in this role, you will enjoy talking with people, reading and researching across subjects, be able to understand and explain complex issues and enjoy process-orientated and detailed work. Experience of working in the conservation sector or in grant fundraising is advantageous but project management, budgeting, bid-writing , report writing and other communication skills gained in education or other sectors will be highly transferable.
