The postholder will oversee all aspects of the donor journey and will have good working knowledge of supporter engagement and fundraising principles and practice in order to plan, manage and deliver innovative and impactful supporter campaigns across a range of channels, securing new (and effectively engaging existing) individual and corporate donors.

The Individual and Corporate Giving Manager will:

  • Establish an effective stewardship programme to enhance the way we can update and inspire our supporters and develop other practices which help build stronger relationships with existing donors
  • Work alongside senior managers to develop and deliver an Individual and Corporate Giving strategy for Hackney Foodbank, maximising income from one-off donations and regular giving
  • Work with our Marketing and Communications Manager to plan and deliver donor recruitment and regular giving campaigns across a range of channels aimed at increasing our donor base whilst also growing support, loyalty and trust for Hackney Foodbank (including co-developing materials, that describe the impact of our work and can be used in targeted emails and personalised approaches to individuals and organisations)
  • Research latest trends and developments in individual and corporate giving and implement effective approaches
  • Manage and deliver corporate days and visits, liaising with corporate partners and internal colleagues
  • Analyse the performance of fundraising activities to identify areas where performance could be improved, and income generation opportunities could be maximised
  • Work alongside the Finance Manager to ensure accurate recording of donations including processing income from a variety of sources and donation platforms
  • Manage the fundraising budget
  • Ensure all individual and corporate donors are well stewarded and opportunities are not lost including thanking and sending donation acknowledgements to supporters in a timely manner
  • Develop and maintain a strong portfolio of current and potential corporate prospects; researching potential corporate supporters and planning and delivering appropriate approaches to them as well as building and managing effective relationships in order to maximise support
  • Maintain accurate up to date records of all individual and corporate supporters on the database, and to ensure that this information adheres to data protection guidelines
