HASU are looking for two externally appointed professionals to join our Trustee Board as External Trustees. As a charity Trustee, you will be a member of the Trustee Board that ensures the Union has necessary financial and structural stability to carry out its aims effectively. On a practical level, this means you need to be able to contribute to major decisions on legal financial issues and ensure that the Union is delivering on that political policy set by the elected representative.
We hope to strengthen the range of competencies across the Trustee Board in order to support our student leaders. We would be particularly interested to hear from individuals with experience of financial management/audit and/or commercial services management, Charity and Company directorship, Human Resources, strategic and change management. However, these are not essential.
What We are Expecting
HASU is currently working in partnership with the Harper Adams University following a period of change and is currently progressing with the development of its new strategic plan for 2020 and beyond after securing stability and new management in 2019.
Attendance to Meetings
The Trustee Board will meet between four and six times a year, with potential involvement with sub-committees. Outside of board meetings, there may be occasions when the Officer Trustees will turn to you for your experience and knowledge.
The post of External Trustee is appointed for a period of four years, which can be extended for a second term. This role is not remunerated; however reasonable expenses will be reimbursed
The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
