Job description
A charity based in North West London are looking for an Executive Assistant and Project Manager to support the governance team and the CEO.The role will include managing the cycle of board meetings & relevant sub-committees and collating cross-organisation progress through the operational planning process, assisting with regulatory filings, production and support of meeting papers, taking minutes, and liaising with colleagues across the charity to review or to follow up on actions. The candidate will be expected to Coordinating and supporting key projects in the organisation.

Key responsibilities

To support a range of governance activities, including development and review of governance policies and processes; recruitment and appointment of Trustee and Committee members; devising and supporting induction and developing, implementing and continuously monitoring and improving a governance framework and handbook.
To act as the key first point of contact and trusted advisor for Trustees and a key interface between the Trustees and the executive team
To service all Board & Committee meetings and away days, ensuring the smooth conduct of business, including all logistical and other arrangements including attending and convening meetings, minute taking, following up actions and ensuring actions are communicated and taken forward by the appropriate key people
To collate and manage confidential information and data from Board and team members for Charity Commission annual returns and other regulatory filing
To provide analysis and understanding of information provided to enable organisational decision making
To assist the CEO with diary and meeting management where appropriate

Person specification

Experience of working in a service provision charity or other not for profit organisation.
Experience of providing high quality research, analysis or data support to senior colleagues
Experience of handling a range of focused activities Experience of coordinating different projects from planning through to implementation
Working as a company or charitable Board Secretary in the voluntary sector
Recognised project management qualification
