Job description
A major INGO focusing on animal welfare and sustainability is looking for a new Global Head of External Affairs to lead its strategic policy and advocacy work on the international stage.

Working as part of the Global Programmes Team, which has recently undergone exciting changes, you'll be responsible for the strategic delivery of the INGO's global external affairs aims, and will be afforded a great deal of autonomy and independence to do so. You'll be managing a team of External Affairs professionals across the world, in countries such as Brazil, the US and Thailand, working to influence politicians, policymakers, regional and international bodies, investors, celebrities and other relevant partners and movements to improve the lives of animals all over the world.

This position requires a senior External Affairs professional with extensive experience in leadership on a global level; for example, the postholder will have a background in influencing the UN and its various agencies, governments and other influential stakeholders. A background in animal welfare is not essential, but an understanding of animal welfare and protection issues, as well as their crossover with humanitarian and environmental / climate sustainability, is preferred.

This is one of the most influential external affairs positions in the international animal welfare and sustainability sector. The cut-off point for applications is midnight of 25th June, so if you are interested in this position, please send your most recent CV to [email protected] . Please note that only suitable candidates will be contacted.
