Key Responsibilities will include:
Plan and deliver proactive media activity that raises significance of the profile of the charity
Plan, deliver and evaluate media campaigns. Develop objectives, devise key messages, KPIs and tactics for the initiative.
Set direction for and manage the team, ensure delivery to deadline, provide regular updates and manage the evaluation process making recommendations to be taken forward
Support the press office team to respond to day to day enquiries and to build our reputation with media.
Provide communications consultancy to internal teams
Line manage one communications executive, supporting them to develop in their role.
In order to apply you should have the following skills and experience:
Substantial, successful experience of working in a communications environment either in an agency or in-house
Substantial experience and demonstrable success in planning, delivering and evaluating consumer facing communications projects
Strong project management experience
Substantial media relations experience including national and regional print, broadcast and online media
Experience of leading and managing others to deliver against objectives
