Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the independent charity for South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM). The Maudsley Charity works in partnership with South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, King's College London to promote positive change in the world of mental health. We support innovation, research and service improvement, working with patients and families, clinical care teams, researchers and community organisations with a common goal of improving mental health.

Their small and busy team work in a very collaborative and supportive way, and are now looking for a Grantmaking Systems Lead to join their Programmes team on a permanent basis.

The Maudsley Charity Grantmaking Systems Lead

Location: Denmark Hill, London (and home working)

Salary: £33,000 - £36,000 per annum plus excellent benefits

Contract: Permanent

The Maudsley Charity is currently entering a new phase of programme development where they are modelling new ways of working with award holders to develop evidence and increase impact. As part of this process, they are also setting thematic areas to focus on; based on understanding of the areas where they can make the greatest impact. They are now looking for a Grantmaking Systems Lead who is excited about the journey the Charity are going on, and who is willing to work collaboratively and to iterate learning along the way.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small and ambitious team, who are aiming for excellence in their grant making processes, in order to increase their overall charitable impact. You will be the responsible lead on all aspects of the administration of their grants processes, covering the whole cycle of grant-making with support at various points from the wider Charity team. This will be an ideal role for someone who is passionate about improving mental health and motivated by the ability of the Charity to make a difference. We particularly welcome applications from Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic backgrounds, as they are currently underrepresented within the team.
