Job Description

About Us: Healthwatch Harrow champions the health and social care needs of adults and children in Harrow, acting as an independent voice ensuring that services meet the needs and remain high quality and fit for purpose. 

Role Purpose: Overall management and delivery of outreach work.  Development of Outreach Delivery Plans, undertaking research to identify target areas and day to day management and co/ordination of volunteers.

Reporting to: EWL Operations Manager, the jobholder will be responsible for the following key duties:

  • Engage with community groups, forums and hard to reach groups to identify key health and social care issues in Harrow

  • Manage outreach activities that promote the work, services and membership of Healthwatch Harrow. To conduct local consultations and surveys using appropriate methodology

  • Signpost the public to appropriate health and social care services on request

  • Manage the volunteers, ensuring that good practice with regards to volunteers is followed, in line with the organisation’s policies and procedures and current legislation

  • Engage with health and social care providers, third sector organisations, service user groups and individuals and represent Healthwatch Harrow on local and regional Healthwatch networks as required
