Established in 1987, Havencare is a forward-thinking charity that provides social care services for people with learning disabilities and autism. We have a strategic aim to be outstanding for every person we support.

Operating across the South West, we support over 100 people and have a growing workforce of 250 staff. We have the potential and passion to do so much more. 

We want to continue leading change for the better in both local and national networks, growing our reach, presence and impact to make a difference to all people with learning disabilities and autism (and their networks of support).

We are currently looking for a Quality Development Manager to join us in Plymouth and ensure that we continue to deliver exceptional social care services across the South West.

The Role 

As the Quality Development Manager, you will ensure that we provide outstanding care to those we support. 

You will lead a small team of Quality Officers who are responsible for workforce scheduling support, learning and development, quality systems, policy and procedure reviews, quality marks and accreditations.

Specifically, you will: 

- Develop and lead organisational policies and practice in the provision of outstanding support 
- Work with our employees, stakeholders, and partners to lead exemplary practice development and delivery – especially in positive behaviour support
- Act as a Safeguarding Lead who is never afraid to provide strong challenge and strong support 
- Translate policy into practice through the procurement and delivery of outstanding learning and development
- Deputise for the Director of Support in their absence

About You 

To join us as a Quality Development Manager, you will need to be one of the following:  

- A Band 6 or higher NHS professional (or equivalent)
- An aspiring senior leader with a strong social care background
- A leader in learning (training in social care related disciplines)
- An individual with other transferable experience, skills and attributes that may be a match for this unique role

You will also need: 

- To be inspired by the thought of making a tangible difference to many people’s lives with learning disabilities, autism, and other cognitive conditions; and the ability to inspire those that provide support
- The drive to influence to evolution of an outstanding charity in its next phase of growth 
- To be excited by the prospect of making this role your own and learning and growing with us

You may have previously worked as a Social Care Manager, Care Manager, Registered Manager, Registered Care Manager, Care Training Manager, Care Quality Manager, or Healthcare Quality Manager.
