About Us

Working across Devon and Cornwall, Havencare Homes and Support Limited is a forward-thinking charity that provides social care services for people with learning disabilities and autism.

Offering supported living and residential care services, we use a range of approaches to empower individuals, help them to be as independent as possible and nurture their potential with dignity and respect.

We’re currently looking for a number of Support Workers to join us on a full-time and part-time basis and support the residents at our sites in Redruth and St Austell.

The Role

As a Support Worker, you’ll support the residents at our site in Redruth or St Austell.  

You will help 7 – 15 individuals living in their own flats, with access to a support hub. You’ll carry out a range of tasks to enable residents to achieve their goals and maximise their independence.

About You

To join us as a Support Worker, you’ll need: 

- To be patient, friendly and understanding 
- Great communication skills 
- A positive attitude and good sense of humour

Previous care experience would be beneficial to your application.

Other organisations may call this role Trainee Support Worker, Junior Support Worker, Support Hub Co-ordinator, Residential Care Worker, Social Care Worker, or Trainee Social Care Worker. 

Hours & Additional Information

We have full-time and part-time hours available, working evening and night shifts. 

In Redruth, you will work 18 hours per week, working the following shifts:

Week 1: 
22:00 – 07:00, Monday and Sunday 

Week 2: 
22:00 - 07:00, Wednesday and Friday

In St Austell, we have the following shifts available (working 33 hours per week and 29 hours per week): 

Week 1: 
22:00 – 08:00, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday
22:00 – 07:00, Saturday and Sunday

Week 2:
22:00 – 07:00, Monday and Friday 


Week 1:
22:00 – 08:00, Tuesday

Week 2:
22:00 – 08:00, Monday, Wednesday and Sunday 
22:00 – 07:00, Tuesday and Saturday

The closing date for applications is the 31st July 2020. Interviews for our Redruth role will take place on the 3rd/4th August 2020. Interviews for our St Austell positions will take place on the 10th and 12th August 2020.
