Team Leader – Care 
Porthpean, St Austell (with occasional travel to attend meetings)

Working across Devon and Cornwall, Havencare Homes and Support Limited is a forward-thinking charity that provides social care services for people with learning disabilities and autism.

Offering supported living and residential care services, we use a range of approaches to empower individuals, help them to be as independent as possible and nurture their potential with dignity and respect.

We’re currently looking for an enthusiastic Team Leader to join us in Porthpean, working approximately 30 – 37.5 hours per week.

The Role

As a Team Leader, you will oversee our team in Porthpean. Here, we provide high-quality support for 6/7 fun-loving people with learning disabilities, autism and other diagnoses. 

In this exciting role, you’ll support the development of our service and act as a role model for fantastic support. You will: 

- Supervise, appraise and motivate a team of Support Workers
- Ensure that our service consistently meets internal and external quality standards 
- Develop the skills of service users and increase their quality of life 
- Encourage positive risk taking 

About You 

To join us as a Team Leader, you’ll need: 

- Experience of providing services for people with learning disabilities 
- Familiarity with supervising a team 
- The flexibility to fulfil service needs
- Great communication skills 
- A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle

Knowledge of current CQC regulations would be beneficial to your application. 

Other organisations may call this role Care Team Leader, Social Care Team Lead, Support Team Leader, Senior Support Worker, Lead Support Worker, Care Supervisor, or Social Care Supervisor. 

We provide a 24/7 service, so you will be required to work mornings, daytime shifts and weekends as required.
