Your new organisation
Regulator and registered charity within the health care sector are seeking a Planning and Delivery Manager on an interim basis. This role could lead to a fixed term contract position to cover the post longer term.
The organisation maintains a register of health professionals in the profession they represent, who are eligible to practise within the UK. The organisation develops, promotes and reviews standards for the education, training, conduct and performance of these professionals as well as investigate serious concerns around fitness to practice, where these standards are not met.
Your new role
As part of the senior management team of the Professional Regulation directorate, reporting into the Director, as Planning and Delivery Manager you will lead and oversee the annual business planning process, lead on the production of performance reporting, as well as ensure there is an effective risk management framework in place that provides assurance to the Council, Chief Executive, Director of Professional Regulation and the executive team.
Managing the executive support function you will be accountable for ensuring a high standard of governance throughout the directorate and compliance with best practice. You will lead the oversight of progress against the organisation's public commitments including the directorate KPIs and actions plans in response to audits and assessments. You will have responsibility to plan and oversee the communication and engagement to over 500 professional regulation staff across multiple sites in different countries, working closely with the Assistant Director and Head of corporate communications function to align directorate plans with corporate strategies and messaging.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have proven experience in the development of risk and performance reporting frameworks/approaches as well as leading their implementation. In addition, your will have demonstrable competence in developing and delivering business planning across a multi-functional department. You will have strong verbal and written communication skills, which will include a proven ability to influence colleagues at all levels of an organisation, as well as proven experience in producing written reports and papers on a wide range of subjects aimed at executive level.
What you'll get in return
This is an interim position paying circa £46,900 per annum and 30 days + 8 bank holidays equivalent day rate. This works out to be circa £200pd PAYE / £230ph umbrella - however for highly relevant skills and experience this rate may potentially be negotiable. This post is in scope of IR35 so Psc Limited cannot be considered. The role is temporary initially in order to get someone started quickly within the role for around 3 months, with the potential to move to a fixed term contract later on up until June 2021.
