Interim bid management & project management to a health & social care sector focused welsh government body.
Your new company
Government body based in Cardiff Bay area, are seeking a Bid Development Manager on an interim basis to join the team from March 2020 for 7 months initially. The organisation is an arm's length body of Welsh Government and act as a catalyst for change within the health and social care sector.
Your new role
As Bid Development Manager you will develop a business case for a £6 million programme focused on social welfare. This will involve programme project management of a pilot scheme which will form the basis for the business case; working with consortium partners to establish the governance, operational framework and reporting on delivery progress and outcomes / impact within a specific unitary authority in Wales.
The development of the business case will also involve the identification of appropriate partners to grow the consortium and coordinate the development of the financial model; working with partners to secure match funding, including writing the business cases and project managing and delivering funding bids.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have proven skills in project/programme management with significant experience in developing and implementing a public funded programme. Experience in working in a similar bid writing role, with a demonstrable successful track record of delivering winning bids for public and private sector funding opportunities, is highly desirable.
You will have effective stakeholder and relationship management skills, able to manage multiple stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally to the organisation and build networks. You will have very strong written and verbal skills; able to present complex information clearly, succinctly, accurately and tailored to the audience, coupled with an ability to influence and negotiate.
What you'll get in return
This position will be based at their modern open plan offices in Cardiff Bay, with a flexi-scheme available. This is an interim position paying circa £40,000 per annum and 30 days + 8 bank holidays equivalent day rate. This works out to be circa £21ph + holiday pay PAYE / £24ph umbrella - however for highly relevant skills and experience this rate may potentially be negotiable. The role is temporary for 7 months, with the possibility to apply to a permanent position if interested.
