Development Manager -Major Gifts £39,343 -£42,751 Permanent Position -South West London for a University
Reporting to the Head of Major Gifts, the Development Manager (Major Gifts) will work to annual income targets, generating philanthropic income for the University's priorities. The role manages a mixed portfolio of prospective donors, personally soliciting gifts and setting up tasks for others.
You are enterprising, collaborative and innovative. You are an ambitious major gifts fundraising professional looking for the next step in your career. You will have experience raising significant funds from individuals, ideally in an educational charity or the higher education sector, and a strong track record of successfully delivering against targets.
You will have confidence in face-to-face meetings and success in securing 4+ figure gifts and stewarding donors to achieve repeat gifts. You will embrace and excel in your verbal, written and presentation skills. You can demonstrate examples of when you have built strong relationships with potential donors and influenced their support to your charity or organisation. You have a passion for fundraising and excellent work ethic. The team Development and Alumni Relations seek to build and support a community of more than 220,000 graduates, develop a culture of giving back and to boost the reputation of the University through its relationship with alumni.
This is a full-time permanent role on grade 8 of the university's salary structure (£39,343 to £42,751 per annum). Annual leave 35 days plus 8 days bank holiday.
