Your new role
The Head of Communications and Marketing will lead the Campaigns, Digital Marketing and Press teams. The post holder will take the lead on the ongoing development of the organisation's brand, the development of all customer acquisition and retention strategies and the development of the organisation's communications strategy. The Head of Communications and Marketing will be responsible for the achievement of all digital engagement targets and will be the organisation's key customer stakeholder, ensuring it continues to transition to a customer centric organisation. This will include the effective monitoring and communication of all customer KPIs across the organisation.

What you'll need to succeed
A successful candidate would be required to;

  • lead the development of the Communications and Marketing Strategy. This commercially oriented strategy will build on the principles outlined in the organisation's Commercial Strategy and will focus on the development of the brand.
  • Take lead responsibility for the delivery of all customers and digital marketing targets. Ultimately, this will include the achievement of the organisation's site, but it will also include a range of digital marketing targets, including through social media and the website.
  • Take overarching responsibility for the development of the Museums' campaign plan. This is likely to revolve around major integrated campaigns aimed at driving customer visits during our peak family periods and incorporate all press, digital and traditional marketing channels.
  • Act as key strategic customer lead, ensuring the Museum gains a deeper understanding of the profile and motivations of our key customer groups. This will include the ongoing development of our customer segmentation programme and its implementation across the Museum.
  • Take lead strategic responsibility for new product and service launches at the Museum. This will include the development of outline marketing plans for major events, product launches and other significant developments
