Your new company
A renowned military charity base in London and Devon. They are looking to onboard someone into their development team that is based out of Central London

Your new role
The role is part time and you will be working three days a week. Currently the role is exclusively home working but post-pandemic you will be expected to go into the office minimum one day a week. You role is to help write bids for trust and foundation proposals to successfully secure funding. You will work with the development team to building and develop existing relationships with Trusts and Foundation as well as donor relations to be able to pitch for funding. There is some aspect of business development as the successful candidate will join The Development Team, formed approx. 12 months ago, which is responsible for Trusts, Foundations and Statutory, Corporate partners and Major Donors. Focusing principally on Trusts, Foundations and Statutory


What you'll need to succeed
The candidate will ideally be a hybrid of both private sector and third sector experience (the latter is required, the former would be nice to have as well) with existing relationships in the trusts and foundation space. They need to have excellent written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to write applications that stand out from the market. To be successful the experienced bid writer will need to be highly organised and motivated, a self-starter with an ability to assimilate and process information quickly and someone who is happy to do a certain level of business development and independent research, to generate concept notes and applications that match and sustain the funding needs of the charity and its delivery programme. The candidate will also be responsible for the stewardship of relevant organisations, ensuring that reporting timelines and processes are maintained and adhered to.
