Job Description


Full time- 35 hours a week

The Prince's Trust is a youth charity that helps change young lives. We give practical and financial support, developing key workplace skills, such as confidence and motivation. We work with 13 to 30-year-olds who have struggled at school, have been in care, are long-term unemployed or have been in trouble with the law. We have helped more than 825,000 young people since 1976 and support 100 more each working day. More than three in four young people we helped last year moved into work, education or training. We are committed to equality and valuing diversity.

In Wales this year we will support over 3,000 young people , helping them gain the skills, confidence and motivation to move forward in their lives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and cultivating the new business strategy for Wales. In this varied and exciting role, you will work to secure GBP 500,000 + of income primarily from major donors and corporate relationships. This role will also support Trusts and Foundations, and events, to support the wider team target of GBP 1.8 million.

The successful candidate will need excellent relationship management skills and the ability to relate to people at all levels, both with our supporters and internally at the Prince's Trust. This role is part of the Wales Executive Management Team and has line management responsibilities.

This is a rare, exciting and incredibly rewarding role working as part of a dynamic team.Enthusiasm and tenacity are key as well as an ability to spot an opportunity. Knowledge and/or experience of fundraising would be desirable but not essential, and people from a strong marketing or sales background are encouraged to apply.
