Job DescriptionA highly regarded international culture and education charity is looking for a Head of Media to join their team in London.
Key Responsibilities will include:
-Lead the corporate Press team in the UK ensuring it is high-performing and respected for its professional contribution and excellent delivery of media and campaign outcomes.
-Support the Director of Communications to develop and deploy the proactive themes, campaigns and the public positions that the charity takes on reputationally sensitive issues, incidents and emergencies around the world, working closely with UK Government, UK partners and sponsors as needed
-Ensure that the charity and its work is increasingly visible in and across UK print, broadcast and digital media and that negative media coverage is minimised through proactive preparation of positions
-To manage potential reputational risks calmly and professionally on behalf of the charity and the UK s international relations.
In Order to apply you should have the following skills and experience:
-Track record of leading press office/communications in large organisations
-Track record of managing an organisation through significant incidents/crises.
-Proven experience of successful high level media relations
-Experience of advising senior leadership
-Delivery of stretching communications targets in an environment with a range of stakeholders
