Job DescriptionOne of our clients, a global young people`s charity in London is looking for an Interim Head of People and Performance for 14months maternity cover.
The charity is a global organisation for youth-led development. Supporting young people to demand and deliver a just and sustainable world for all. They work to make sure young people have a voice, a living, sexual rights, and are leaders in preventing and solving the world's challenges.
The main key responsibilities:
-throughout leadership (compliance with all aspects of UK employment legislation)
-operational responsibilities (Lead the ongoing development and implementation of the People team priorities)
-Global Network (Support key in-country staff to implement their People plan by working in close partnership to jointly develop innovative and cost-effective HR solutions)
-Leadership (Represent the People & Performance unit at quarterly Senior Management Team meetings, and with the Trustee People Committee.)
Experience of advising on a broad range of HR issues.
-CIPD qualified, or studying toward.
- Strong understanding of how HR can add value to Restless Development.
-Good interpersonal skills and personal credibility with a demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues at all levels.
- Thorough and up-to-date knowledge of employment law and best practices in HR.
- Able to plan and deliver work against tight deadlines to high standards of quality.
- Impeccable attention to detail.
- Excellent networking skills and ability build external relationships
-Experience of researching and developing policies and procedures.
-Experience of managing and developing staff.
- Knowledge and/or experience of contributing to organisational change.
- Experience of working within the development sector
