Headway SELNWK is a charity dedicated to the support, advocacy and awareness of the ongoing needs of individuals who have experienced acquired brain injuries (ABI) in the South East London and North West Kent area. We have an exciting part-time opportunity to join our expanding Social Rehabilitation and Community team across the Bexley, Greenwich, Lambeth, Bromley, Southwark, KCC and Lewisham service areas. We are looking for motivated and dynamic individuals who will support our clients to achieve their full potential and satisfaction in participating in society.
You will be working in a key-worker role with support from the Occupational Therapist and Director of Strategy and Business Developement to deliver individually tailored one to one and group activities to our members. This role is part-time 30 hours per week.
Previous experience of rehabilitation is not crucial as ongoing support, training and supervision will be provided to ensure the applicant acquires the requisite skills, although a willingness to develop is essential. As you progress you will have the opportunity to provide support to the volunteers, students and other supporters of Headway SELNWK.
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our Social Rehabilitation Services, working within the South East London and North West Kent region.
We will offer you;
5 weeks paid annual leave, extensive training in the Bridges self management, mandatory training, continuous in-service training in Brain injury, QCF level 3, supervision support, mentoring and peer support sessions with our clinical lead.
Support the Social Rehabilitation Team to develop the Headway SELNWK Social Rehabilitation Service
To key-work for a defined caseload of adults with complex ABI using evidence based practice, rehabilitation processes and client-centred principles
To carry out assessments, reviews, evaluations and identify goals with clients (in conjunction with the Occupational Therapist)
To plan, run and evaluate group activities
Participate in the identification and resolution of daily operational issues arising within the Social Rehabilitation Service
