As Finance Treasury Manager, your day-to-day will consist of:
- Leading and motivating a team to provide exceptional financial accounting and treasury services.
- Overseeing the entire year-end process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Managing banking, investments, and cash flow for the group.
- Partnering with boards and committees on strategic financial planning.
- Proven ability to manage and develop a high-performing financial accounting team.
- Expertise in statutory accounting regulations (FRS 102 & charity accounting).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Recognized CCAB accounting qualification
Knowledge:
- Up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and regulations (FRS 102, charity accounting)
- Working knowledge of data protection requirements
Experience:
- Demonstrable experience of:
- Accountability for full year-end audits
- Producing Statutory Accounts using FRS102 and SORP
- Preparing Group Accounts
- Developing, maintaining, and evaluating effective control frameworks
- Direct staff management
- Giving formal presentations and report writing
- Preparing VAT and Corporation tax returns

I am working exclusively with a Regulator, and we are looking for a Senior Policy Officer to join the Standards team on a permanent basis. This role works across the organisation on numerous programmes that are integral to the work of the regulator. You will be supporting the two Policy managers to enforce minister policies from Central Government departments. The team within this regulator regularly promotes internally.
Your new role
The successful candidate will be:
- Manage policy initiatives from start to finish and provide support to the development of the standards to key internal and external stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively across the organisation to contribute to a programme of cross-org policy initiatives.
- Conduct desk-based research to support policy development, ensuring evidence-based policy decisions are being made.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including facilitating workshops, focus groups and policy forums.
- Work closely with colleagues from the devolved nations and NI.
What you'll need to succeed
This position is ideal for someone who has
- Experience of Policy work, at the Policy Assistant, Officer, Senior Officer, or Advisor level.
- Able to work collaboratively and independently to achieve multiple priorities.
- Experience of working with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Experienced at preparing high quality policy documents, reports, and briefings.
- Worked for a Charity, Non-Profit, Regulator or Government Body (highly desirable)

- To maintain and manage the diary of the Director and Deputy Director, to ensure time is utilised effectively and efficiently
- To manage the Communications Inbox for the PSC team.
- To liaise with the Finance department regarding payment of PO orders.
- To book transport and accommodation for the Director and Deputy Director.
- To maintain the electronic and paper filing systems used by the Director and Deputy Director and team members, including scanning documents where necessary.
- To organise meetings, including PSC team meetings, Director Lunches with staff, and meetings of SEG (Staff Engagement Group), involving internal and/or external people: arranging dates and venues, ordering refreshments, co-ordinating the production and circulation of agendas and papers in a timely manner before the meetings, attending meetings to take minutes, distributing minutes.
- To ensure external visitors are notified in advance to reception (for security purposes), and to welcome and assist visitors on arrival.
- To type letters, reports etc. in Word, including assisting others by re-formatting documents.
- To prepare high quality PowerPoint presentations for the Director and Deputy Director.
