PR Manager
Harrogate, North Yorkshire (we offer a hybrid working pattern)
This is a fixed-term role and we are open to applicants looking for a 6 – 12 month contract. The role is full-time (37 hours) however we will consider applications from those seeking to work 4 days per week.

The Role
As our PR Manager, you will take a central role in raising the profile and awareness of Yorkshire Cancer Research and the work of the charity.
Reporting to the Head of Communications & Engagement, our PR Manager will develop engaging, relevant and powerful content for new and existing audiences across Yorkshire, and beyond.
Specifically, you will:
· Plan and deliver innovative and engaging media events and activities in support of the charity’s public relationship strategy.
· Proactively identify opportunities to publicise the charity’s work and impact through a variety of media channels.
· Build ongoing relationships with people who have benefited from the charity’s work (case studies) and whom are willing to help promote the charity and its impact.
· Develop and manage relationships with journalists, influencers and potential stakeholders.
· Plan and oversee content production for PR purposes, such as video, social media, and imagery.
· Plan and lead media events, ensuring both the media and charity spokespeople and representatives are thoroughly briefed and prepared.
· Coach and support the Communications Officer, setting goals and objectives as part of regular Personal Development Plan meetings.
· Monitor the PR budget to maximise impact and benefit.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:
· A degree or equivalent professional experience in Public Relations, Journalism, English or Communications.
· Significant experience in a media/PR environment, preferably with experience of managing others within this environment. Experience of planning or leading PR or media campaigns.
· Excellent computer literacy, with extensive knowledge of MS Office applications.
· An understanding of the media and social media landscape, and their relationship with charity PR.
· An understanding or appreciation of the charity sector, the priorities and the challenges.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· High levels of discretion, confidentiality and recognition of how and when to share information appropriately.
· Confident communicator and presenter, able to offer constructive challenge and influence.
· The ability to drive and travel across the Yorkshire region (we have pool cars based at our Head Office in Harrogate for your use if preferred).

PAYE: £19.95 - £23.12, + hourly holiday pay
I'm recruiting for a leading health related charity. They require a Customer Services & Administration Manager to join them on a temporary basis starting ASAP, this role will run for a few months, and ideally the temp will be considered for a more permanent position in the charity. This is a full-time role, working 35 hours per week, requiring you to be in the London office a few days per week to ensure the smooth running of the office and to manage the team of direct reports. If you prefer, you can work remotely the rest of the week. This is a busy, and varied role, the bulk of the role is managing the supporter care function, managing the efficiency of processing income, coupled with people management and office management.
The Customer Services and Administration Manager will ensure that the team functions efficiently and effectively to deliver an excellent customer care service. The team respond to Gift Aid questions and queries, and process credit and debit card donations made via the supporters, both online and by phone. You will support the maintenance of the charity's BACS and direct debit system and producing direct debit claims in line with BACS rules and regulations.
You will conduct weekly 1-2-1's with your several direct reports, and attend any important meetings required. Other duties include ensuring the office and processing runs smoothly, managing the staff rota system, financial administration, dealing with any complaints and ensuring supporters are receiving the highest level of customer care.
The successful postholder will bring experience of managing a customer services/ supporter care team, where they have strong knowledge and experience around processing, thanking supporters, BACS direct debit claiming process, and Gift Aid regulations, as well as line management experience.

My client can offer a flexible approach to working, with 2 days a week going into the office based in central London and the rest working remotely. There is also a strong opportunity for this role to get extended or go permanent.

As our Regional Building Surveyor for the South East region, you'll manage our Retail Division's property portfolio in the South East of England, spanning 150+ leasehold shops and stores. This region includes Hampshire, Sussex, Kent, Greater London, Essex, Oxfordshire, and Buckinghamshire. Additionally, you’ll support stores nationwide to meet emergent requirements.
You’ll deliver a full range of building surveying services, both reactive and planned maintenance including:
- lead diverse projects, from essential repairs to rejuvenating refurbishments and exciting fit outs
- manage contract and tender documentation
- fulfil CDM duties, including being Principal Designer
- conduct Planned Preventative Maintenance inspections
- oversee building maintenance
- perform acquisition and disposal surveys
- offer dilapidations advice
- build strong relationships with stakeholders
Working arrangements
This is an 18 month fixed term contract.
This is a home-based role with extensive travel throughout South East England, primarily your regional patch, though periodically extending across the country. You will be required to live within the South East region.

About you
To be successful in this role you'll:
- possess a professional building / construction management qualification (MRICS, MCIOB)
- have sound technical knowledge of all legislation relating to the fit-out and occupation of leasehold retail premises (Building Regulations, Planning, CDM, Fire Safety Order, Health & Safety and Asbestos)
- have extensive experience in all key aspects of traditional building surveying disciplines, including:
- acquisition surveys
- defect analysis
- building pathology
- dilapidations
- fit-out design
- contract administration
You'll be a highly effective team player with strong interpersonal, influencing, and decision-making skills.
It would be advantageous if you have specific experience in developing and maintaining a large retail estate.
