Baby Lifeline is a highly respected national charity whose mission is to ensure the healthiest and best outcomes possible from pregnancy and birth.
Founded over 40 years ago by Judy Ledger following the personal tragedy of losing three premature babies, we have since purchased many million pounds’ worth of equipment for maternity and neonatal units, produced nationally recognised reports and research projects, staged highly successful annual UK maternity safety conferences, and provided evidence-based, multi-professional training to reduce avoidable harm and death in maternity. Training is provided through Baby Lifeline Training Ltd, a not-for-profit social enterprise. It trains around 4,000 delegates annually and is one of the main providers/developers of training for maternity professionals in the UK.
Head of Communications & Marketing
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Baby Lifeline as Head of Communications and Marketing. You will play a critical role in supporting Baby Lifeline to deliver its important mission, leading the development and delivery of our strategic communications and marketing plan. Together, these will grow awareness of and engagement with our brand and increase donations.
Head of Communications and Marketing Responsibilities:
· Providing strategic communications and marketing counsel to the Chief Executive
· Devising results-driven marketing campaigns to grow our audience and drive charity donations and fundraising
· Devising creative media engagement strategies, leading on proactive and reactive media relations including press releases, statements, interviews, and enquiries
· Building relationships with relevant professionals and experts within healthcare, to help drive sign-ups to events and training
· Managing and influencing relationships with key external influencers, such as journalists, producers, and celebrity VIP ambassadors
· Overseeing our website and social media channels, developing creative content that drives growth, reach and engagement across channels
· Line managing a Digital Marketing Manager on the effective day to day delivery of website and social media activity; working with external agencies where appropriate
· Understanding what metrics to use as a measure of success, based on key objectives – and to report on these confidently
· Researching and evaluating the latest trends within the charity sector and using these to advance Baby Lifeline communications and marketing activity
· Advising and working with Baby Lifeline Training Ltd on relevant projects
As Head of Communications & Marketing, you will have:
· Experience in a similar communications or marketing role
· A keen eye for marketing design – experience creating social media assets is preferable
· Self-motivation and passion about the opportunities that can come from marketing, communications, and social media
· Strong written communication skills and copywriting capabilities
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· A degree in marketing and/or PR or equivalent is desirable
· Health/charity sector experience is desirable but not essential

Having already raised £9.9 million for our Up Against Time Appeal, London’s Air Ambulance Charity is currently in the final phase of our campaign to raise £15million by September 2024 to replace our two helicopters. Spectra are looking for a Senior Trust Fundraiser, focussing on larger trusts, to join a growing fundraising team with exciting plans. You will contribute to raising the income required to continue delivering counselling, advocacy, mentoring, outreach, groups and other support services at Spectra, and work with a team to implement a new fundraising plan. The current focus of this role is to analyse and influence the national policy agenda on NHS funding levels, financial performance, payments systems and contracting. The NHS is in a significant period of reform, due to the legislative change establishing integrated care systems (ICSs) as statutory organisations in 2022. It is also in a uniquely challenging period due to ongoing operational and financial pressures, rising demand, workforce challenges, and the need to recover care backlogs. The reform agenda and operational context both mean trusts need to find new ways to work in their local systems and deliver for patients.
This role is an exciting opportunity to support trust leaders as they respond to this challenging and changing environment. This role will require the postholder to be flexible, adapt to a rapidly changing external landscape, responsively manage parts of a wide-ranging portfolio, and contribute to media, public affairs and board development work. We provide high quality specialist palliative care for patients with cancer and other life-threatening conditions across East and North London. We have a large team of clinical staff who work across community, in-patient and out-patient services delivering individualised, responsive and holistic support to patients and their families/carers.
We’re looking for motivated, enthusiastic and forward thinking registered staff nurses to work within our two In-patient wards that have 17 beds each for patients. You’ll have experience of working in end-of-life care within an acute or palliative care setting. We will also consider newly qualified nurses who want to develop a career in palliative care. The successful candidates will be keen team players with good interpersonal and communication skills who enjoy working in a challenging environment whilst displaying a caring attitude at all times.
You will need:
- To be a Registered General Nurse and hold a Intra Venous administration Accreditation
- The ability to plan, implement and evaluate care
- Experience of working in end of life care within an acute or Palliative Care setting.

You will be supporting the two Policy managers to enforce minister policies from Central Government departments. The team within this regulator regularly promotes internally.
Your new role
The successful candidate will be:
- Manage policy initiatives from start to finish and provide support to the development of the standards to key internal and external stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively across the organisation to contribute to a programme of cross-org policy initiatives.
- Conduct desk-based research to support policy development, ensuring evidence-based policy decisions are being made.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including facilitating workshops, focus groups and policy forums.
- Work closely with colleagues from the devolved nations and NI.
What you'll need to succeed
This position is ideal for someone who has
- Experience of Policy work, at the Policy Assistant, Officer, Senior Officer, or Advisor level.
- Able to work collaboratively and independently to achieve multiple priorities.
- Experience of working with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Experienced at preparing high quality policy documents, reports, and briefings.
- Worked for a Charity, Non-Profit, Regulator or Government Body (highly desirable)

Young Lives vs Cancer is the only charity in the UK with specialist social workers dedicated to providing tailored psychosocial support to children and young people with cancer, and their families. About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Major Gifts Fundraiser to join our team. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for securing six-figure major gifts from individuals in a charity environment to meet ambitious targets. Your primary role will be to manage and develop relationships with wealthy and/or influential individuals and senior volunteers, inspiring and motivating them to meet objectives as per their solicitation plans. Additionally, you will manage and inspire the Philanthropy Executive and support them in executing donor cultivation events. This role is all about strengthening the already existing relationships and using already established contacts to tap into new potential donors.
You will be able to write successful, inspiring, emotive, and detailed six-figure proposals, tailored to a major donor audience. Moreover, you will support the creation of a major donor development board or committee and work towards creating a better stewardship journey for supporters. We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference and can bring their expertise to help us achieve our goals.
About you
You are an experienced Philanthropy Fundraiser with excellent communication skills and a proven track record of securing significant grants, or you should be able to demonstrate transferable skills. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully soliciting donations and supporting senior volunteers and trustees to do so.
You should be persuasive and credible with all audiences, including those at the highest level, both internally and externally. You should also have the ability to disseminate and present complex information clearly and compellingly.
You should also be able to work effectively under pressure and to prioritise workload. We are looking for someone who is creative in their thinking and who can apply problem-solving techniques when met with complex situations. A team player with strong cross-team working, influencing, and negotiation skills is essential.

About you
We are looking for a highly motivated individual, with an understanding of dementia, and the needs of those affected with these conditions. We are looking for someone who is approachable and knowledgeable to join our knowledgeable and passionate team. Our Dementia Adviser’s support people in their homes we interact face to face, over the telephone and virtually, to give people the tools and knowledge to make informed decisions about their future. As a community-based worker, you will be required to attend a range of meetings, appointments and venues as well as working from home.
You will;
