The Grant Finance Manager is responsible for the financial aspects of EJAF’s grantmaking activities. From monitoring grantees’ budgets to reviewing disbursement requests, from pre-grant due diligence to grant close-out and audit, this role covers the full grant life cycle. The Grant Finance Manager is key to delivering grantmaking that is effective, efficient, risk-managed and compliant. As part of a small, professional Finance Team, the role reports directly to the Head of Finance and works closely with Grants Portfolio Leads (GPLs). The ideal candidate has relevant experience in managing the financial aspects of grantmaking and is a smart, enthusiastic team-player with good accounting skills and attention to detail.

Overall purpose of the role
- Support the production for the monthly management accounts

- Prepare weekly sales reports and weekly cash flow statements
- Assist with the general work of the Finance Department as required
Skills and experience required
- CCAB membership – Qualified or AAT / Equivalent

- Competence in MS Office suite with accurate keyboard skills
- Advanced excel user; being able to write and combine formulas ie SUMIFS, SUMPRODUCT, INDEX, MATCH, PIVOT TABLES and LOOKUP
- Experience of preparing and analysing complex financial information

We are looking for a Financial Accountant, to join our busy Finance team on a 12 month fixed term contract as progress our finance transformation journey, including the implementation of a new ERP finance system, Unit 4 (Agresso).
In this role, you will help manage the preparation of the Annual Report and Accounts and statutory returns, quarterly VAT returns, and oversight of monthly accounting processes ensuring that accurate accounts are produced on a timely basis.
You will be responsible for ensuring:
- Thorough testing of finance related end to end processes on Unit 4 ensuring that any issues are captured and resolved as appropriate.
- Successful finance data cleanse activities to ensure that data migrated to Unit 4 is fit for purpose
- Opening financial data migrated to Unit 4 reconciled clearly back to the legacy systems on a detailed and timely basis to ensure strong financial control and a successful audit
- Take lead on understanding and implementing any changes to approach necessary for month end close, journal processing and balance sheet reconciliations
- Successful and timely transfer of knowledge to the remaining members of the finance team
This is a homeworking role, but you will be required to travel to attend some meetings and team-days, so you must reside in the UK, have the correct right to work documents to work in the UK and be comfortable/willing to travel to our flagship offices.
About you

My client is a healthcare charity that supports a specialist hospital. As the financial accountant you will work closely with the wider team a well as the finance business partner and head of finance to work on process improvement, and drive the charity forward.
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for timely year end process and preparation of the annual consolidated statutory financial and lead statements, including liaising with the charity’s auditors and dealing with audit queries
- Ensuring that all balance sheets accounts are reconciled frequently, and any differences are dealt with accordingly, including bank reconciliations, intercompany, fundraising income and restricted fund reports

Our Finance & Legal team are at the heart of all financial decision making and are responsible for all internal and external financial reporting.
The role
As Finance Systems Accountant, you will be responsible for the on-going administration and maintenance of the RSC’s finance systems (including the general ledger, financial planning and analysis tools, banking software and other finance-related applications). You will be involved in improving transaction processing, financial management and reporting (in the context of Finance systems functionality and configuration) on a project basis.
This is an integral role where you will be expected to manage and maintain Finance systems. You will work closely with colleagues in the Finance and Technology teams and with external suppliers to ensure Finance systems remain fit-for-purpose and resilient. You will be responsible for Finance systems training (including training of end users both within and outside the Finance team) and support end users in the resolution of day-to-day Finance processing issues. You will provide Finance input to the design, selection, and implementation of new integrations / future phases of the core NetSuite and Adaptive finance systems.
To be successful in this role, you will be an excellent communicator, proficient in IT and financial ledger systems, and a critical thinker with a desire to learn and adapt to new systems and techniques.
At the RSC we embrace flexibility and offer hybrid working, which means our teams come together when they need to collaborate. Essential:

What you will be doing....
· As the Finance Manager, you will support the Head of Financial Accounts and Contracts by leading the delivery of all financial accounting operations for the charity and its financial ledgers.
· You will lead on all financial accounting matters affecting the charity and this includes the production of the annual financial statements for the charity and managing the transactional functions of the purchase and sales ledger teams.
· You will ensure that the charity statement of recommended practice (SORP) is followed when compiling the accounts for review,.
· You will contribute to the further development of the financial systems and wider business unit needs by becoming a system expert in IRIS Financials and suggesting and implementing improvements to this.
· You will ensure the Asset Register is maintained throughout the year to support the completion of the financial statements..
· You will be responsible for monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and month end and year end processes including prepayments, accruals, and ledger close.
· You will support Senior Finance Assistant – Sales Ledger with debt chasing, holding monthly debt reviews with them and the Head of Financials Accounts & Contracts
· You will be the lead contact in relation to all tax issues affecting the charity. This includes completion of the quarterly VAT return, VAT related contract issues and corporation tax.
· Lead the external audit process, being the main point of contact during the external audit fieldwork, managing timescales and information/data provision for each audit deliverable.
What you will offer....
· At least four years plus demonstrable experience working within a finance team/function.
· Proven ability to run month end and year end processes with limited supervision.

Finance Business Partner (Corporate Services)
Job Purpose
- To be the lead accountant within the finance function supporting our corporate activities, including HR, Comms, Finance and Property & Operations

Remit
Finance Business Partnering support for HR, Comms & Finance
- Be the primary point of contact between finance and heads of department

The role
AWP is looking to recruit a new role to their Finance team -Income and Financial Reporting Accountant.
Reporting to the Head of Financial Accounting, Treasury and Finance Systems, you will manage a small team and will ensure that all matters relating to income and capital accounting are carried out in a timely and accurate manner communicating with NHSE and DOH to ensure all information meets appropriate standards.
The Income and Financial Reporting Accountant will also be responsible for the production of accurate and timely financial accounts and reports throughout the year, providing instruction and guidance to finance staff to ensure all information is produced in accordance with regulations and appropriate accounting standards.
The post holder will be expected to use high level technical, analytical, interpersonal and negotiating skills to develop excellent working relationships with a wide range of internal and external managers across NHS Organisations and the wider system.
About you
To succeed in this role at AWP you will:
- Be a qualified accountant with senior finance experience in a medium to large organisation; be use to providing financial information in short time scales and making sound assumptions and judgements to ensure this happens in a robust way.
- Experience of NHS Finances and knowledge of NHS Income desirable
- Have experience of leading a small team and be familiar with highly technical financial information, income and capital accounting, budget setting and report writing.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrable experience in working with operational teams and other corporate functions to deliver a mature rounded service.
