The aim of Health24 is to relieve sickness and preserve the health among people residing in Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, St Helens and Sefton by providing or assisting in the provision of facilities, support services, equipment, skill development and professional training ancillary to those provided by the authorities for primary and urgent care services. We are seeking to appoint an energetic and motivated individual to the role of Chair, who, in turn, will be involved in the recruitment of further trustees and the initial setting up of the Board.
The charity trustees are the trustee Board which comprises the Chair, the Treasurer, 3 employees of Primary Care 24 and 3 other Trustees. The function of the Trustee Board is to receive assets from donors, safeguard them and apply them to the charitable purposes of Health 24. The role of the Chair is to provide leadership to the Board and to ensure Trustees fulfill their duties and responsibilites in the governance of the Charity.
The charity will not actively fundraise, however, the sole supporter and donor will be Primary Care 24 and donations will be obtained from any surplus generated by Primary Care 24.
The charity will exist to review and allocate financial support to projects or endeavours that will support the health and well-being of the patients served by Primary Care 24. Examples might include (but are not limited to) education programmes, food support or walking clubs.
The role of the Board of Trustees will include assessment of financial grant applications and reception of update reports from beneficiaries.
