Job Title:          Corporate Fundraising Manager

Salary:£35,392 - £42,618 (depending on experience)

Base:Manchester, all roles are office based however there is some opportunity for occasional working from home

We are looking for a creative, dynamic and adaptable corporate fundraising manager with a minimum of three years’ experience or relevant sales experience to develop and deliver a successful corporate fundraising strategy. You will need to have strong interpersonal skills and significant  experience of delivering pitches and securing new business, coupled with demonstrable success of securing sponsorship and commercial participation opportunities.

You will have a natural flair and genuine passion for corporate fundraising, be a terrific storyteller with  exceptional communication skills to bring this unique world leading cancer centre alive for businesses in an engaging and purposeful way. . Most of all, we are looking for someone whose enthusiasm, innovation and ambition  will match those of the Charity. . As part of a supportive and committed team, you  will be professional in your approach and provide an excellent standard of service for our charity supporters.

The Charity team is responsible for raising millions of pounds each year to ensure Christie patients receive gold standard care and treatment. This includes everything from access to world first clinical trials and receiving radiotherapy in state-of-the-art treatment centres to young adults being cared for in a bespoke age-appropriate centre and being able to offer patients anxiety reducing complementary therapy, or even creative sessions in our art room.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

As a key member of the team, the Grants Officer will work closely with the Head of Charity and colleagues across the team to build a sustainable funding pipeline to help generate significant growth by securing grants by:

• Personally securing substantial gifts from Trusts and Foundations (up to £150k)
• Delivering income targets, in line with the annual budget, from a portfolio of Trusts and Corporate Foundations
• Responsibility for researching Trusts and Corporate Foundations in alignment with a wide variety of projects and appeals that address the needs of BTH
• Developing high-quality bids/applications/cases for support for a variety of funders
• Managing stewardship activities for Trusts and Corporate Foundations, including tracking of reports and payments
• Working proactively with contacts within the Trust to identify and scope opportunities to maximise impact and income
• Working effectively with operational and clinical staff to develop and implement opportunities to foster and strengthen long-term relationships with donors and Trust representatives
• Supporting and developing new engagement events and communications
• Supporting the wider team with large communication, stewardship, or impact reporting activities
• Work collaboratively with the Charity Team to develop a new system for collaborative working in regards to Corporate Foundations, COTY applications, and other written bids for support.
• Develop and manage processes for corporate foundation grants to ensure appropriate banking, thanking, reporting and stewardship is undertaken for all corporate foundation grants.
• Create compelling, high-quality applications that meet the unique expectations of corporate supporters.
• Develop regular activity reports and updates on donor funded activities that clearly indicate progress and impact
• Use, update and develop the CRM database to record approach and grant information, meaningful activities and learning, and to generate portfolio management reports.
• Work collaboratively with the Charity Team to develop and implement engagement and stewardship plans in alignment with existing corporate giving plans, including special events.
• Host visits to BTH by donors or Trustees, ensuring the visit maximises the opportunity to improve the relationship.
• Engage with colleagues across the Trust to identify success and excellence stories to share with our supporters.
• Produce materials such as Impact Reports, website information, Cases for Support and Newsletters appropriate for Major Donors and Trusts with support of the Communications team.
• Ensure that all written communications and materials produced comply with design standards; brand guidelines and appropriate legislation (e.g. style guides, document templates, legal wordings, charities legislation requirements etc).
• Undertake any other task that is commensurate with the post as requested

Person specification

Qualifications

Essential criteria

• Evidence of high-levels of numeracy and literacy and good general level of education
• Degree qualification, in relevant business-related subject, or equivalent experience to degree level

Desirable criteria

• Externally accredited qualification such as IoF Foundation in Fundraising Practice
• Fundraising specific training to degree level, e.g. proposal writing, negotiation skills etc., or equivalent experience

Experience

Essential criteria

• A proven track record of meeting or exceeding fundraising income targets by writing bids and securing medium value gifts (£10k-£150k) within a Trusts and/or Major Donor Fundraising environment
• Experience researching prospects, including Trusts/Foundations and major donors, and managing data/prospects within a CRM system
• Knowledge of GDPR/data protection laws
• Self-motivated and self-directing; strong time management skills; strong attention to detail; flexible; and honest, with a high degree of personal integrity.
• High emotional intelligence and exceptional interpersonal skills: a ‘people person’. Be able to empathise with people’s stated needs and emotional drivers.

Desirable criteria

• Knowledge of fundraising trends and experience conducting market research

About the role

We’re recruiting for an experienced Digital Marketing Manager to steer us in the next stage of our journey. This is an exciting development of an existing role at Overcoming MS and will allow the successful candidate to make the position their own.

The Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for delivering an innovative new digital marketing approach, through the innovation, creation and delivery of projects and activities which increase leads, donations and engagement for Overcoming MS charity.

 Key Responsibilities

The Digital Marketing Manager will work across several areas, including:

1. Conversion optimisation

· Increasing our donations and data capture - to enable us to continue the dialogue and create donations from a greater percentage of those who visit our website, or interact with other digital channels.

· Working with our agency partner to optimise key landing pages and signposting for conversion.

2. User journey optimisation

· Helping people find the right content based on data optimisations so that more people find what they need and understand what else the charity could offer them. Using HotJar for insights.

· Automated email journeys - Building customer journeys to support the Program pillars to build deeper relationships with people in our community.

3. Increasing reach and traffic generation

· Testing different low-cost digital reach opportunities.

· Including paid social, referral activities, calls to action across our channels, YouTube SEO and SEM. Working with an agency to optimise journeys from Google Grant, leading to clearly articulated actions (eg donations, sign-ups, click-throughs).

4. Testing to improve results continually 

· Email AB testing - Deliver AB testing to inform future email AB tests.

· Plan AB testing for email marketing projects, for the website, and other projects as needed to improve conversion rates.

5. Digital project management

· Testing new digital versions of courses and tools. Project management of website updates.

6. Campaign support

· Leading, innovating and supporting advocacy, communications and fundraising campaigns as needed to increase reach, engagement and conversions.

7. Gathering community feedback

· Continue the plan to access regular community feedback to influence Hub improvements and other digital channel improvements.

8. Supplier collaboration

· Working with our suppliers to optimise collaboration, reduce cost and increase impact.

About you

Strong digital skills

• A proven track record of managing digital products/projects/programmes which create value for end-users. 
• Strong working knowledge and experience in digital solutions.
• Experience in evaluating and improving existing digital programs.
• Significant experience working with 3rd party digital providers to create solutions that work for the target audience.
• Confident in Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
• Excellent understanding of AB testing to maximise conversion rates.
• Experience in using tools like HotJar (preferred).
• Strong analysis skills.

About the role
This is a new role for Clatterbridge Cancer Charity as we look to expand our successful Individual Giving & Lottery programmes.

The post holder will deliver quality fundraising campaigns, including Cash Appeals, Regular Giving and Lottery that will grow income, supporter base and lifetime value. The role of the Senior Digital Marketing Executive is to ensure we provide a great supporter experience to any person, company or organisation who donates to the Epilepsy Society and to help the fundraising and marketing teams increase our number of supporters and fundraisers through digital acquisition.

You’ll support our national and local campaigning work across Scotland to improve the lives of people with Parkinson’s and those closest to them. As part of our dynamic and committed Scotland team, you’ll listen to the needs of our local communities and work with colleagues across the charity to deliver focussed political campaigning work. 

You’ll work with  our community to raise awareness and increase knowledge about Parkinson’s with decision makers at a local and national level. You’ll use your knowledge of public policy in Scotland and the UK to make sure that the voices of people with Parkinson’s, their partners, family members and friends are heard, and help to drive changes that improve their lives. 

What you’ll do:

• Be a first point of contact for campaigners in Scotland, who want to improve services in their local area, and recruit and manage a sustainable network of local campaign volunteers specific to Scotland.

• Support the work of the Policy and Campaigns Manager to understand and influence UK wide and Scottish specific legislation, policy and practice relating to our communities and their needs

• Provide expert advice and support to colleagues and campaigners on how best to influence decision makers in Scotland.

• Use our UK-wide campaign priorities to deliver national and local campaign activity, and coordinate campaigns with other charities and organisations, where appropriate to further our goals.

About The Role

This is an incredibly exciting, high-impact role within the organisation. As Head of Fundraising you will be part of the Senior Leadership Team and our key fundraiser, critical fundraising strategist and have the scope to influence and shape our programmes.

You have a broad and well-established funder base to jump off from and will have the opportunity to bring in exciting new funders as more environmentally focused grant givers are starting to embrace diet change as a key tool for tackling the climate crisis.

We are looking for someone who can build on the relationships and initiatives developed over the last few years, to ensure Made In Hackney can fulfil its strategic goals and meet our annual income target. You will be instrumental in driving income development and in leading fundraising initiatives with an emphasis on Trusts and Foundations, individual giving, major gift fundraising, corporate giving and statutory bodies such. You will nurture key relationships with existing donors and potential new supporters and build and manage a robust pipeline of supporters.

Responsibilities include:

Leadership, Strategy and Governance

• To be an active member of the Made in Hackney Senior Leadership Team, working together to galvanise the organisation behind our strategic plan.
• To contribute to strategic discussions on the future direction of the organisation.
• To participate and / or lead in team meetings as appropriate.
• To act as the lead staff team representative on the Strategy and Fundraising Board Sub-committee, actively contributing and working with Trustees, as well as attending Board meetings.
• To participate in organisational budget planning and monitoring meetings.

Fundraising and Development

• To co-design and write grant applications and secure grant funding from Trusts, Foundations or Corporate entities in line with our annual target (likely to be in the range of £400k-£500k).
• To work with the Partnerships Manager to secure Fundraising income from individual givers, major donors, Crowdfunding campaigns and other fundraising initiatives in line with our annual target (likely to be in the range of £200k).
• To develop and execute an annual fundraising strategy: building a sustainable portfolio consisting of grants and donations from individuals, corporates, trusts and foundations, to ensure long-term sustainable funding of activities.
• To research and prospect future funders.
• To maintain precise and up-to-date records on current and potential supporters and prospects.
• To create engaging fundraising communication tools.
• To establish partnerships for joint programmes and funding bids where beneficial.

Donor stewardship & reporting

• To retain current donors and maximise fundraising opportunities, including delivering a programme of appropriate stewardship opportunities with the core team.
• To work with the team to co-design programmes and their evaluation requirements to ensure the organisation meets the grant funders' requirements. 
• To complete reporting to grant funders, including developing report templates, creating reports, case studies, and other administrative requirements. 

Communications

• To input into MIH’S communications strategy and the planning and implementation of improvements to marketing plans, digital presence and social media strategy to ensure impact and fundraising successes are communicated
• To maintain a stock of impact-focused case studies and success stories and ensure fundraising successes are communicated on social media and online.
• To ensure the robust monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of fundraising strategies and campaigns; providing key input to the annual report and impact report.
• To coordinate fundraising events with the Community Partnerships Manager. 

Line Management

• To have direct line management responsibility for the Community Partnerships Manager and Social Media & Marketing Manager, creating a supportive environment for growth and development.

The Talent Set are delighted to be working with a prestigious, high profile organisation based in London to find their Prospect Research Executive. This is a One Year maternity cover role starting in May.

The charity offers a flexible working environment, with hybrid working from their Chelsea or Sutton office 2 days per week.

As Prospect Research Executive, you will work closely with the Head of Philanthropy Research & Operations and the Prospect Research Manager to deliver the prospect research, pipeline management and information management function within Philanthropy and Partnerships. By doing so, you will be making a major contribution to growing the Charity's high value supporter base; and to maximizing its engagement with existing and potential supporters.

Key Responsibilities:

· Deliver high quality prospect research briefings on individuals, trusts and corporates for P&P, members of the Charity’s senior leadership as well as senior volunteers and board members.

· Ensure research output is timely, insightful, accurate and well presented; in compliance with relevant data protection laws and Charity’s Supporter Promise.

· Assist in prioritising senior volunteers’ approaches to prospects within their own networks.

· Assist in collecting and analysing data from the public domain in order to carry out due diligence research on prospective major donors, in line with the Charity’s Moral & Ethical Fundraising Policy and internal guidelines.

· Support the Prospect Research Manager with the management and analysis of prospect information through The Raiser’s Edge database according to P&P’s needs.

· Ensure database systems are maintained accurately by analysing and updating information on individuals, companies, trusts and foundations.

Person Specification:

· Excellent written communication skills and the ability to present complex information for a range of audiences in a variety of formats.

· Ability to work to the highest standards, to be analytical, methodical and thorough with meticulous attention to detail.

· Excellent knowledge of the principles of major gift fundraising to include identification, research, solicitation and stewardship.

· Experience of using and championing the intelligent use of Raiser’s Edge or a similar CRM system for data capture and reporting.

· An interest in cancer and health issues, with an understanding of NHS practices and procedures.

· A desire and aptitude to develop a career in prospect research.

Ideal candidate profile: 

• Experience in a similar Data Officer position within a Charity
• Advanced Excel experience
• Working knowledge of Microsoft office applications including MS Teams, Outlook and Word
• Excellent written and communication skills
