Join our award-winning community organisation to lead a team of staff and volunteers working to improve local health care services. This post will suit someone seeking their first management role, as well as the established manager wanting to diversify their experience.

Salary: £30,000 pro-rata (4 days per week)

Annual Leave: 28 days per annum (pro rata), excluding Bank Holidays

Summary of Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Managing a small team of staff and volunteers to implement an annual workplan (part of a long-term strategic engagement plan) which ensure that local residents influence commissioners in the design and development local health and social care policies.
  • Co-ordinating the delivery of an information and signposting service on health issues to the general public
  • Working collaboratively with Healthwatch Barnet charity partners to achieve the desired outcomes for the local community.
  • Promoting and representing Healthwatch Barnet by engaging with a wide range of external stakeholders including Healthwatch England, national Healthwatch networks, local government and NHS organisations locally, regionally and nationally
  • Ensuring that Healthwatch Barnet implements a quality assurance process which enables it to fulfil its commitments and identify areas for development.
  • Reporting on the progress made by Healthwatch Barnet across all key areas of its work.
  • Complying with the agreed policies and working principles of CommUNITY Barnet.
