We are looking for volunteers to assist in our Tonbridge shop. It’s a great way to develop or use existing customer service skills, to meet new people, to be part of a small team and to keep active in the community. If you are looking to enhance your cv or university application it is a great way to get some up to date experience and develop a wide range of transferable skills. It can also provide useful experience for further training or career choices
If helping to sort and prepare donated clothes, displaying stock, working a till, creating exciting window designs and providing great customer service appeals to you then volunteering to help in our shop would be right up your street
We welcome volunteers who are able to help with a morning or afternoon shift per week, or more if you wish. Experience is not necessary as we can provide training in the shop and welcome all volunteers to attend an induction morning where you can learn about the Hospice itself, as well as meeting more members of the team.
Volunteers must be aged over 16 years of age (volunteers aged 16-18 years must provide parental consent). However there may also be opportunities for Duke of Edinburgh Award students minimum age 14. They will need a Kent County Council child work permit
