Henshaws is a charity that supports people with sight loss and a range of other disabilities to achieve their ambitions and go beyond expectations. We believe that everyone has a right to an independent and fulfilling life. Our support, advice and training helps people and their families build skills, develop confidence and look forward to a positive future.
We are now looking to recruit a Trust and Grants Fundraiser to identify and generate income from trusts, foundations and other grant makers to support the work of Henshaws.
Key responsibilities will include:
Writing high quality medium and large funding applications, tailored to funder need, to secure restricted and unrestricted trust and grant income for the charity.
Working with the Trusts & Grants Manager in developing larger, more complex revenue and capital funding applications and proposals as required.
Maintaining and updating records, communications and prompts on the fundraising database, using this to generate a workload of timely applications, reports and letters of thanks.
The successful candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating good use of grammar and meticulous attention to detail. They are required to be numerate and financially astute with an ability to interpret complex financial and statistical information. Proven experience of successfully raising income from charitable trusts, foundations, lottery or statutory sources would be highly advantageous.
Closing date: Tuesday 6th August 2019 12 noon.
