Job Title: Head of Training, Talking Therapies and Young Peoples Services
Salary Grade: £40- 45k per annum, FTE
Responsible to: CEO
No. of Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Based: Hertfordshire, Base TBC

This new clinical role will involve building the high quality training we currently deliver alongside developing a range of therapies to meet the needs of our growing client group. The position has the exciting element of working with an experienced team of managers to grow our provision for young people’s services and increase our engagement to wider audiences. The position will involve managing current provision while developing new projects and partnerships thus increasing our visibility as a key mental health provider in Hertfordshire.
In order to meet the changing needs of the organisation we are looking for a skilled and experienced therapist/mental health professional who can work externally with partners while creating robust provision internally with a diverse and practiced team. We require an engaging personality to support current and recruit new therapists into the organisation while diversifying the therapeutic offer to clients. We want to raise the profile of Mind through new training opportunities and work with the team to improve our provision to young people in order to meet the fast growing demand across Hertfordshire.
Heading up staff wellbeing you will be committed to supporting a diverse multi disciplinary workforce who bring a wealth of skills and experience into the organisation. Over 70% of staff have a lived experience of mental ill health and we are keen to improve our training and support to the team in order to maximise the strength and value this brings to our organisation.
You will be an advocate for mental health services and the organisation as a whole. You will develop the services as progressive and efficient ensuring the organisation is seen as innovative and a forerunner in the mental health sector.
We are looking for someone with strong, resilient leadership and management skills to support a team of service managers while working more broadly with the Head of Operations to build and motivate an effective team of wider staff and volunteers.
A qualified clinician or mental health professional, you will be committed to good practice and have the necessary skills to develop a wide range of services using structured processes.
